Oh my goodness, where to start? First off, the hosts were on top of the booking right away, sending detailed instructions on how to find the place. And very proactive when we had any questions during our stay as well. The kitchen worked well, and the hosts had graciously provided groceries such as bread, milk, butter, salt, pepper, sugar, tea and coffee. The whole place was clean as a whistle. The property on which Wisteria Lodge is situated is quite large, part of an old manor, and it was fascinating to wander the gardens and imagine life here years ago. It was lovely to sit out and listen to the birds all around. It was very quiet and secluded. The internet was sufficient - a few lags here and there but never an issue. Did notice that there was weak to no cell phone signal in the house with the EE network our SIM card used, but that didn't trouble us either. The lodge has been thoroughly renovated, and was much larger than we had expected. The shower was lovely.

It's a great quiet country location, plenty of parking, and a friendly characterful family run pub-hotel-restaurant. This is the 3rd year we have stayed here whilst touring. We ate in for supper & breakfast and the food was good and plenty of it. The room was fine. We'll be back next year if we come this way again!

Lovely hotel. Possibly could do to be updated, but it was clean with lovely staff. If we visited the area again, we would definitely stay here again. The beds were so comfortable 👍

This was exactly what we needed to break up our trip to Scotland and it was useful being able to all stay in one room for the night. The food was good - we enjoyed the Friday Steak Night - and the kids were happy with their food too. Breakfast was also good with lots of menu options. The kids made use of the play equipment outside. Staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. The

Very good breakfast but perhaps not as much choice as on my previous stays. The waitresses were young but well trained and eager to please.

We stayed at the Wheyrigg Hotel before our show at a local festival over the August Bank Holiday weekend. The staff and locals were ever so friendly and we got on so well we had some pictures in the bar together!
