Perfect, value for money and location beats any of those big chain hotels/motels near the airport It is also super quiet. We could sleep with open windows!!! We stayed in several places during the 10 days preceding the Gateway Lodge. None of those could compare to the quality of the Lodge.

I needed somewhere close to Woolton Village, so this was perfect for me. I also needed somewhere quiet, and it was excellent. It is close to the airport and planes come over at night, but not during the sleeping hours, so it was no problem. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.

The owner was so kind to book at the last minute, and was very responsive whenever we had a question, including a recommendation for a local place to eat. A spacious property on a quiet, cobblestone street—what a bonus for us. A parking spot was available on the street, and the local, friendly pub was a block away where we had good fish and chips. We wanted to be located close to the Lennon/McCartney childhood homes area since we had booked a tour the next morning, so it was a perfect place! Nice to be away from the noise of city centre.
