Which fine art museums should a first-time visitor to Paris start with?

I would spend most of the time at the Musée d'Orsay: it small, contains most of the pre-impressionism, impressionism *and* post-impressionism, not too crowded, and usually terrific temporary exhibitions too. Louvre is so crowded it almos spoils the experience (besides the most famous things you just can't really see, like the Mona Lisa). Of course still one of the greatest, but I'd leave it for second.
