We were asking, if it was possible to get a room with a view and we got it, it was wonderful. Good parking place near the hotel, enough good breakfast, kind personal.

Additional highlight was a well kept small garden garden incl. pavillon and terrace on the fjord shore - even asmall private beach and rowing boat we might use. Leikanger itself doesn't offer too much but is well situated for trips to Lustrasffjord, Urnes stave church , trips to Nigardsbreen, Flam, Balestrand etc. . A very helpful and friendly owner. We (family of four) enjoyed the week and could have stayed longer.

The hotel has a cosy garden connected to a nice and shallow beach (perfect for kids) and nicely renovated docks. The outside area is a really nice place to relax, have a drink or play. The view is beautiful. The old part, containing the reception and restaurant , is really cosy and nice! We really enjoyed the full course dinner, which we were allowed to eat in the garden.
