Like the bible story we were turned away from many inns because we were traveling with our 4 pets.l-Two dogs , a cat and our new family addition a little kitten. The hotel accepted us on short notice after our prior booked accommodation failed to notify us that they would not accept all our pets. Not only that we got lost in the dark as our gps was acting up. The hotel kindly kept the restaurant open for us and treated us with such kindness. The table was laid perfectly with beautiful roses and at 10.30ish in the evening served us like they would serve any guest arriving at a reasonable hour. We cannot express our gratitude enough to those who took the time to make us feel welcomed, to those who offered us gourmet food at a late hour and stayed away from their homes and beds to ensure we were well fed, made to feel human with fine wine and interesting conversation and accept our menagerie of pets. This is a truly special place, and we were lucky to have experienced it.

The host is kind, caring, and very helpful, having helped us to move around Lugano with good indications and suggestions. Clean and spacious room. Delicious breakfast, too! Nice coffee and homemade jam. Ostia Americana overlooks Lugano not far from the city center (5 minutes by bus), in a quiet place.

Perfect as a budget accomodation (by Swiss standards) for one night as I was not able to return home on the same day. The shared bathroom was large and clean, just like the shower, with hard walls. I didn't have time to take meals, but that would have been possible.

One of the most amazing experiences. The location and the view, unreal atmosphere of the old building. We had no problems driving and parking. Very great coffee in the morning, friendly woman - maker and the guy working in the garden was very friendly to us. After all the commercial hotels, it is a wonderful place to relax.

Fantastic place. For sure simpler than a big name hotel but super friendly, clean and comfortable. For me it was the perfect place to stay in a beautiful area. Super happy.
