Everything exceeded our expectations - Olivier and his family are the most welcoming hosts and have genuinely thought of everything in order to offer the best stay! The Chalet is a 2 min walk to the ski lift Violettes, perfect for skiers. Breakfast is great and there is a kitchen if you'd like to cook other meals. We really recommend staying here. They have a beautiful cellar with great wines of the region . They also convert an old barrel into a cosy space were they serve Raclette , fondue and more delicious things . it was just great .

Our experience here was amazing! I was a little nervous whether we will be in time for check in due to the long 9h drive. So I contacted the host and they responded to me with instructions on how to get to the room in case of late arrival. I really appreciated that! Moreover, everything besides that was also exceptional: very friendly staff that really cared to make our stay comfortable, cosy and clean room that was staffed with everything we needed, great breakfast. We will definitely recommend that place to our friends and consider it to stay during our next visit.

Owner was outstanding. He picked us up at the train station (our train was late) and returned us the next morning after preparing a wonderful breakfast. It's a winery and the wine was outstanding. We bought extra and brought it home with us. Our experience there was so much more than I can list here. We will be returning to Castel de Daval!
