Located 800 metres from the Pont du Gard Roman bridge, this guest house offers an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by gardens with pine trees and lavender. The medieval village of Castillon-du-Gard is 2 km away and Remoulins Train Station is 3.1 km from the B&B. Free WiFi is offered and free private parking is available on site.

We chose La Bastide des Pins because of its close proximity to the Pont du Gard. The river is 100 meters farther along the little road the property is located on. (Hint: coming from the freeway, when you reach the last round-about, turn right into the small road with the stop sign). Our room was small, but nicely decorated with sweet remembrances from the past: a dressmaker’s model with wide-brimmed straw hat; a framed quote from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s 'The Little Prince,’ “Things of importance can be seen only with the heart;” a flower pot with fresh pink flowers on the bathroom sink. In the garden in front of your room, tall trees rise over a turquoise swimming pool. The aroma of pines and nature is wonderful. Bird songs fill the air. If your hosts offer to prepare dinner, let them!!! Laurent prepared a delicate fish filet seasoned with special pesto, red rice from the Camargue, and a magnificent ragout with eggplant and other fresh vegetables. The fresh bread was good. Greens for the salad came from the garden. Laurent explained the process he used to make the black and green olives. A small glass of red wine was superb – really the best I ever had! – and cost only 3 Euro! At breakfast, the croissants were first rate, the homemade strawberry jam delicious, and the coffee very good. Your car is safe on the premises behind a gate which opens with a code. (The gate closes by itself, so don’t wait). Renovations have been completed on a two-bedroom apartment with lofts for sleeping and a complete kitchen. Elisa and Laurent are warm, friendly, open, and easy to talk to. Parking at the Pont du Gard is 9 Euro, but visiting the aqueduct is free. The aqueduct is a Must See! https://youtu.be/PTI9ndYZxVY

All units in the guest house are fitted with a coffee machine. Some of the units have a satellite flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower and a hair dryer. At the guest house, units have bed linen and towels.

The facilities are lovely. Private, secluded, well furnished and well-provided. (A pool! Patios!) There was a small hiccup related to the breakfast -- somehow, the fact that we'd paid for breakfast got lost in the shuffle, so we didn't have breakfast at the B&B. However, once the mistake was understood, the hosts refunded us in full. We would *definitely* stay here again, but would verify everything more than once in advance. It's a wonderful place, especially for a larger group because you can probably have the entire property to yourself. (We were just 5, but still had the place to ourselves.) It's roughly a 2 km walk to a couple of very good restaurants up the hill in Castillon-du-Gard. Take a flashlight or two for your walk back down in the dark.

This is a comfortable, modern bedroom and ensuite with thoughtful details. I loved the tranquil setting in a small village close to the amazing Pont du Gard. Our host was very welcoming and advised us of other historic artefacts along a trail to the Pont. I enjoyed the breakfast, including fresh croissants, top quality bread, fruit, and a choice of hot drinks. I recommend la Petite Gare for dinner. Their service was excellent, and the food delicious, especially the asparagus entree.

An ideal location for exploring the area. A truly warm and friendly welcome awaited us. The artwork displayed around the property is stunning. It was lovely to talk to the artist about its creation. The honey served with breakfast was delicious. Thank you.

Great location in a medieval village with private enclosed secure parking. Hosts were wonderful and were keen to make sure I was conformable. Room was just what I needed - comfortable bed and warm. Also, I would give a shout out to "Les Jarres" which is an excellent restaurant in the village just 200m away.

The village itself is quaint. We loved the pool and lounger area of the hotel. There are 3 restaurants in the village (plus the village BAR, which is a MUST to experience). The local restaurants all close on a Wednesday, so we ate in the hotel, which was fine but not as good as being out in the village (in our opinion).

Rooms were quaint and charming as was the setting. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK, bread and croissants but we had to ask for cereal and would have like fruit and yoghurt. The room was charming and bed comfy. We had a choice of pillows in the cupboard and a blanket. The curtains were just voiles but there was the option of shutters.

Charming hotel and location (at the heart of a small and authentic village). The room is very comfy and the surrounding very quiet. Food (dinner) is good. Service at the reception was very friendly. Prices are fairly high especially for the food by the pool.
