Jo was very welcoming, friendly and smiley. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Everything was spotlessly clean and well cared for. Brilliant hospitality tray which could be replenished from supplies in the hall when needed. Bottled sparkling and still water was always available. Delicious home made cake on arrival. Lovely seaview from our room. Fluffy towels and gorgeous toiletries. Great breakfast with plenty of choice..all delicious. Ideally situated just outside Looe..lots of great places to visit within easy reach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, a real home from home.

Each room at Schooner Point Guest House features a flat-screen TV with a built-in DVD player, a private bathroom, and tea/coffee making facilities. A guest fridge is also available, which includes fresh milk.

I trusted the other high rated reviews and they were spot-on. Schooner Point Guest House is in a superb location in Looe and it's an easy walk into the town. Gorgeous views from the breakfast room and lovely watching the chaffinches and other birds feeding by the deck. Tom and Paula were great hosts; providing a very warm and informative welcome on arrival and looking after our every need throughout our stay. The breakfasts were unbelievably good (kept us going for the entire day!!). Our room was extremely comfortable and we couldn't hear any noise from the rest of the house. A great stay.

Cherrywood Lodge is next to Looe Estuary and within 10 minutes’ walk of the village centre and railway station. It offers charming rooms with free Wi-Fi and a varied breakfast.

Neighbouring quaint Cornish towns include Polperro and Downderry, which are both within 20 minutes’ drive. Dartmoor National Park is a 45-minute drive from the bed and breakfast.

We instantly felt welcome and at home on arrival by our 2 excellent hosts Ralph and Annie. The rooms were very clean, Breakfast superb, manners and attention to each guest, outstanding. We felt extremely happy during our stay and would recommend this gem to our friends. There was no sign of rudeness or short temper from either host. They Catered to all guests needs during our stay. We loved the chilled vibe of the place and the 5 * breakfast, facilities, beds, pillows and duvets. Absolutely all needs or scenarios have been thought of in these rooms with even ear plugs for your wife if you're a snorer or needle and thread if you need to repair a button on your shirt. I have stayed in the Marriott, Hilton and other private hotels/B&Bs in the UK and around the world. This place outshines those in many ways, especially Ralph's amazing breakfasts and specials menu. All of the food is locally sourced from Cornish farms and family run shops. The Bacon and sausages in the full English are perfect. The homemade bread is lush and goes a treat with their homemade jams selections. The work Annie & Ralph put into this place speaks volumes for itself. The rooms have a good size fridge and beverage making facilities to make you feel even more at ease if traveling a distance with food for your trip. To top all of this off, the Hotel is secure and safe with large iron gates to keep you and your loved one/s safe.

It was much bigger than we expected from the photo’s. The back door and balcony face towards the forest which is a lovely change for us. The furniture was clearly new and in very good condition! It was so quiet and peaceful!

We didn’t have breakfast here as it wasn’t available but we could have had breakfast at a nearby establishment. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Our meal at dinner was fabulous and we all loved the food. The ceiling fan helped to keep the room cool and it was very quiet during the night. We would stay here again without any hesitation.

The Old Mill is in a great location right next to a brilliant pub. I was able to borrow an iron and ironing board which was helpful and we were left all the ingredients to make a fry up which was a lovely touch.
