The room was enormous and super comfortable, I was not expecting to get the suite, but was the only available, and the price was matching other accommodations on the area... but the basic, so it is great plus. The facilities are finely decorated, including the pub downstairs... the breakfast and the service was amazing. I could not imagine to be at a better place for a long travel break.

We were looking for a traditional pub in a small village and this is precisely what we got. The host was very welcoming. Also the 2 chefs and people in the pub were really nice and it was a lot of fun. Rooms looked good and were very spacious. Many lovely walks to be done round Elham and a nice fire to sit by upon return.

The room was great and very comfy. Quiet and beautiful farm area. Took many pictures. Breakfast spread was nice option. We did not partake as we are lactose intolerant.

Superb place to stay! Right on the high street with loads of restaurants and cafes within a few mins walking distance, some which you get discounts at as a guest! Super friendly and hard working host, Jamie couldn't do enough to be helpful. Gorgeous suite with great views from all THREE windows, very comfortable bed, super clean in every single part of the place. Amazing artefacts to look at for the history buff such as an original telegraph machine! Generous selection of teas, coffee and biscuits. Could not recommend this place more!

Spotlessly clean and comfortable room, lovely bed and great shower. Great location for beach and town. Excellent breakfast. The 102 bus which picks up outside the pub will take you on a sightseeing tour of country and sea to Rye, which is worth a trip. Note: empty bladder required as journey is about 1.5 hours over bumpy roads, and if you have to get off it will be in the middle of nowhere! Staff at the Red Lion are excellent, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Wow everything exceeded our expectations! Beautiful location high on a south-facing slope with sea-views from the vineyard. Easy to park. Extremely quiet. Spotless room with amazing breakfast. Lorna greeted us at an arranged time and showed us to our room and explained the facilities. We even sampled a glass of their lovely smooth Rose wine. She helped us with taxi company recommendations and places to eat. The drive to Folkestone was just 10 minutes and also a similar time to Sandgate. In the morning we were shown round the winery and vineyard. Fabulous! We will stay again and recommend to our friends.
