Lovely warm welcome, and staff that really couldn't do enough for us. The onsite restaurant serves a range of dishes, catering for vegans and vegetarians also. It's a community-owned pub/cafe/restaurant so the atmosphere is very friendly and it was always busy - There's a positive buzz that's omnipresent. Breakfast was toast, pastries, and cereals, simply help yourself - We didn't miss a cooked breakfast, at all, there was sufficient to see us into the day. The room was fabulous - Huge bed (large double) that was really comfy, en suite shower was immaculate, and the view from the window onto a country lane from which we regularly saw horses go by. Deadly silent by night, which was great, even with the window open. Will definitely be back!

The staff were incredibly kind and made us feel that nothing was too much! Nicola the manager made us feel right at home. The property was period so it may seem outdated to others but we loved the historical side of the B&B. We loved the food (both dinner and breakfast) - the burger on the menu was to die for! We were part of a wedding party and felt awful for setting their fire alarm first thing in the morning due to steaming a dress, they were so lovely about it and saw the funny side. I even had a call when I got home to learn that I had left a cheap necklace in the room and they were going to send it to me via post. I would certainly stay here again! Thank you to the team there!

Although I didn't expect it, Chris and Karen went out of their way to ensure that I had the room available at a much earlier time because they knew I was attending a wedding at 2pm. Obviously I was very grateful for this as the normal time for obtaining the key is 4pm. The bed was very comfortable, room very clean and the breakfast was enjoyable and plenty of it.
