“Located just near entrance to old city. Great facilities with courtyard where you could have a drink, relax etc.”
“Staying at Residenza d'Epoca Il Casato is like stepping into a time machine into the Middle Ages but with comfortable central heating, a comfy clean bed, antique vaulted ceilings and lovely views over a magical courtyard with statues and a fountain. The staff are friendly & very helpful - one even lent me her personal umbrella when it was raining. The breakfast was generous and TV & Wifi good.”
“The room was beautiful. The Private terrace looked out on the most beautiful view of Siena. The staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. The location was right in the heart of Siena.”
“View from the rooms The reception staff were very helpful and knowledgeable Local restaurants were fantastic the receptionist can offer some good recommendations Sienna during the build up to Il Palio is a wonderful experience. The drums start early in the morning so don't expect to sleep in.”
“The place is excellent. Situated just 4 km from the city historic center that is easily accessible. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. Very nice view of the picturesque Tuscany hill sides. Great breakfast, but above all, Sylvia, the owner, and the rest of the staff are very kind and helpful of everything we wanted! We had a wonderful time and was a pity we couldn't stay more! We certainly go back soon.”
“Beautiful bedroom, mainly very peaceful and quiet, lovely bathroom, fresh towels daily. Very reasonable price in September. Staff offered information about Siena. It was a family run business - 3 generations, so it had a very traditional feeling to the whole place. I would recommend this to anyone planning a change from the normal routine back home. I can't praise the accommodation highly enough.”
“The staff were very friendly, helpful and informative. The location is central off one of the main streets of Siena, less than a minute away from the Campo.”
“The location suited our needs and wants to a "T'. The owner could not possibly have been more accommodating, attentive and friendly. We would definitely recommend this place.”
“From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome from Frances and Franco. We had gotten there later in the evening after traveling all day. We could watch the sun go down and relax on the peaceful grounds with the wonderful view of the city below. The reviews I had read commented on their breakfast and I totally agree!! They are very organized and we were able to sample many delicious items cooked perfectly to order. We loved the charm of the old farmhouse and the large room where breakfast is served. Frances was very eager to help us plan our day and arranged two tours for us. They were both very knowledgeable about the area and helped us make connections for the next leg of our journey. We stayed two nights and later wished we had stayed 3 or 4 nights. I would highly recommend this B & B to anyone wanting to visit Tuscany.”
“Amazing location and the best view ever!”
“Everything! The location of this wonderful B&B is perfect. You need expend no energy at all to walk to the Piazza del Campo or the other historic areas of Siena. At the front of the property you are in a buzzy, lively city withexcellent restaurants within 50 metres either side of you. To the back you are in an elevated position overlooking Tuscany at its best. The B&B itself is full of character, partly because the grandmother of its current owner, Duccio, was a collecter of furniture and fine art. So you feel that you are in a very special place - and you are. Yet the welcome provided by Duccio and Cinzia is very personal, warm and friendly. And the breakfast, oh the breakfast! I purred all the way through it. Don't forget to ask Duccio about his grandfather, who was capitano of the contrada. You can see the flag in his office.”
“easy to find, location, wifi, bathroom, very comfortable room, staff lives on the same floor, speaks great English, smells fresh, good fan even though there's not A/C”
“We loved this place, the massive bedroom and excellent comfortable bed, the friendliness and happy atmosphere created by the other guests, the helpfulness and cheerfulness of Alfredo.A wonderful rambling old villa in a great location.”
“This is an incredible hotel and experience.”
“Country Lodge looks like it is in the country but it is really in the north edge of the city. After staying in hotels in Spain, Portugal and Italy for two months it is different to check in to a brand new spot. The room is a bit small but very comfortable. Breakfast is very good in a very pleasant spot downstairs or outside on a warm morning. The owner, Christina was cordial and very helpful as was her staff. We hated to leave.”
