Ashbourne is a truly idyllic place. Everything is designed so beautifully, you feel like you’re staying in a charming old house but with all of the modern amenities. and very nice touches such as garden showers and baths if you choose. The surrounding landscape is breathtaking, with lots of rolling green hills to look out over the horizon. Rob and Dawn are so welcoming and very helpful in giving you insights about out of the way places to visit in the area. All the meals were delicious, using only fresh ingredients skillfully prepared—including home baked bread. I can’t wait to go back!

We weren't able to take part in the morning breakfasts due to our packed schedule but both mornings she packed us a beautiful breakfast basket that kept us filled throughout the day! This was our first stop in SA after a long drive from Johannesburg. I cannot be happier with the welcome we received from Phil and Margi. The venue is located perfectly between the Panoramic route and Kruger park. The room was very spacious, clean and every little detail was thought of. Breakfast is great and set between beautiful vegetation, trees and plants. Another thing we especially liked was how Phil took the time and offered us tips for our travel plans which helped us a lot.
