Het personeel heeft werkelijk alles over voor de gasten. Elke dag was er wel weer een hapje / snack om te proberen, en zo lekker! In een woord geweldig. Aanrader.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. A large house, with 6 guest rooms, two terraces (one where an amazing breakfast is served), on a quiet back street away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet within walking distance of many of the top sites. The staff are friendly, attentive and helpful. The place is spotless, the AC cold and the wi-fi strong. Steps away from the southern arun-arun, where locals congregate for food and socializing in the evening. Highly recommended.

The whole stay was amazing. This small hotel offers the relaxation one needs after a busy day touring the city. Most importantly though, Pras and his team went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Even before the stay Pras was quick in responding to questions and made sure we would have a safe trip from the airport to the hotel. During our stay, Pras and his team organized a driver for our trips to the temples and Surakarta and had great suggestions on sights to see and indonesian restaurants to go to.

Blue Garden Yogyakarta ligt in Yogyakarta, op 11 km van Museum Sonobudoyo, en biedt accommodatie met gratis fietsen, gratis privéparkeren, een buitenzwembad en een tuin. It is out in a rural area well outside the city. Very peaceful and relaxing. Room was super clean and air conditioned with a large bathroom ( no a/c) and mini bar. ( Beer and cokes only) It has a small but good restaurant ( reserve meals in advance) and a lovely garden and pool. Looks out on rice fields with birds and nature all around. It is close.to a mosque and you can definitely hear the call to prayer. It added to the atmosphere for us and they turn down the loudspeaker for the 4am call to prayer!. You can borrow the bikes and ride through the working rice fields leased from the sultan. You certainly get to see authentic rural Javanese life but its not for those who want any kind of nightlife! Beer available but no wine, so bring your own if you want to relax over a glass while getting your authenticity!

Ndalem Suryo Saptono Guest House is gelegen in Yogyakarta, op 3,9 km van Museum Sonobudoyo en 4,6 km van Paleis van de Sultan van Yogyakarta. Beautiful guesthouse built in traditional Indonesian style with a lot of characteristic wood carvings. The venue is located about 15 min drive from the busy city center. The location is very quiet. We had booked a family room for four. This was a very spacious room with two large beds, private terrace and bathroom. Breakfast is served on the private terrace and consists of omelet, toast, fresh fruit, cake and coffee/tea.

This is an amazing place if you want to immerse yourself into local culture. The host family was extremely helpful and provided me with lots of local experiences and ideas. If possible ask the host to help you with a ride to the airport or your next destination. I did and he was more of a local tour than transport. Can’t recommend this family enough.
