“Everything was just awessome Stay 10/10 Staff - 10/10 Location 10/10”
“It will be excellent if an electric kettle is provided for making own tea / coffee”
“Nice set up. Good when we visit with family.”
“We liked everything about it. It is a nice and clean hotel in a good location. The manager, Mr. Nain was very caring. He arranged excellent breakfasts, both continental and local Keralite dishes. He also arranged a very new car for our travel from Kochi to Munnar, Munnar to Thekkady and Thekkady to Alappuzha. The driver of the car, Mr. Louis is an excellent driver as well as an excellent human being. He also worked as a good travel guide. We wanted him to drive us in his car till the end of our journey to Thiruvanantapuram. But on New Year's Day, he had to go back to his home near Munnar.”
“The hotel is quite unpretentious, it has a nice outer look, when you come inside there is a small reception area and a small restaurant and lounge. Nice hotel for business as well as Budget travelers. Location was best and near to houseboats. Its a good property with garden, small well, outdoor place for yoga. Rooms are nice and clean. Staff was good and co-operative. Breakfast choice was limited but excellent with south Indian dishes. Travel menu in the hotel is excellent. They arranged car for Alleppey sightseeing. Overall excellent hotel - one must stay”
“It was a great trip, and Aboo and Taris were friendly and very helpful with everything our group asked, including arranging late night taxi pickup, to helping organize activities, bike and scooter rentals, getting food, entertainment, and advice about where to visit outside of Kochin. Breakfast was great. Honolulu gets a big thumbs-up from me and our group. Recommended!”
“The rooms were very spacious & decorated beautifully. The cafe was good. Location was great, very quiet, but only a short walk to the beach.”
“Staff were fantastic, they were so friendly and helpful, they really went out of their way to make our stay feel personal and look after us. Room was large, bright and clean. Clean sheets and towels! Great value hotel, a real gem.”
“Very nice staff and professional service, incredible breakfast.”
“Their hospitality is awesome. The hotel is neat and clean.Food quality is very good”
“Great location. Very friendly and helpful owners and staff. Lovely sea view room with very comfortable beds. Good food too.”
“Lovely balcony and room was spotless and very nice - manager Sarah is a sweetheart! Location is great. Would recommend rooms above the 2nd floor for best views.”
“Located a comfortable distance from downtown in an extremely quiet neighborhood. The host, Eldos, is extremely friendly, answered all of our questions, and secured a pair of bicycles for us to rent. I highly recommend bicycling around Alleppey. The canals and beach are fantastic. For a good trip on the canals without the cost, take a government ferry to the end of its line - the one we chose was an hour out and back.”
“I was on a holiday from the UK and spent 7 nights at Riviera Residence in February 2014. I thought readers would find my review helpful if I gave an account of my experience of Riviera Residence under three separate headings: Please note £1 (British Pound Sterling) =Rs100 (Indian) LOCATION Riviera Residence is conveniently located from Alleppey town, beach and the railway station. You can walk to the town (25mins), beach (25mins) or catch an auto for Rs30. The railway station is Rs40 by auto. In the evenings I went to the beach and enjoyed the sunset but you can swim as well. If you want to enjoy the backwaters, the boat jetty is located in town and is a 30mins walk from Riviera Residence or Rs40 by an auto. Alleppey town is not exactly but fairly centrally located in Kerala. Because of this fact you can easily travel to the north, south and inland of Kerala quite easily from Alleppey town. I landed at Cochin airport and stayed in Cochin town a couple of nights. I then travelled by train from Ernakulam South Junction railway station in Cochin to Alleppey town on an air conditioned carriage for Rs200. The journey took 1.5 hours. FACILITIES I used an air conditioned double room which also had a ceiling fan. The room came with an attached washroom. The room had a balcony which was a treat! Linen and wash towels were provided and were changed during my stay. The whole place was kept very clean. Riviera Residence was only 6 months old at the time I stayed and therefore had a new and fresh look. Free daily newspapers were provided in the reception area. A Free Wi-Fi service was provided and was easily accessed from the comforts of my own room. The Internet service was fast, uninterrupted and reliable. A good laundry service was provided for which there was a modest charge. Breakfast meals were included in the price. I opted for Indian food and found them to be simple but adequate for my needs.”
