Don’t let the minimal reviews fool you! He just re-started up his business following COVID. Staying with David at the Casa Coco was one of the BEST decisions we made. Upon arrival, David welcomed us with fresh baked warm cookies and a smile. The Breakfast each morning was a 10 of 10. From the breakfast keish, to the fresh fruit w/ yogurt, to the egg/potatoe skillet, David set us up for success each morning. If you have time, the Bed & Breakfast is a walking museum. The house is adorned with paintings and artisanal work from around the world to include Russia, Argentina and Mexico. Our room was clean and equipped with our own coffee maker, Apple TV, and MORE fresh cookies. Above all, the host David is who made us feel at home. After long days traveling to the surrounding pueblo magicos (Tzintzuntzan, Santa Cara de Cobre, Capula), we looked forward to returning to our “home” for the weekend. If you come to Pátzcuaro, make sure you stay at the Casa Coco.

Featuring a terrace and a shared lounge, Casona Rosa B&B, Morelia is set in Morelia and is 300 metres from Museo Casa Natal de Morelos. I very much enjoyed my stay at Casona Rosa. Rosa and Lupe really took care of me with anything needed and the breakfast Lupe prepared was just wonderful. This is a wonderfully nice decorated typical Morelia style house and it is very spacious. Casona Rosa is very central, just few blocks away from the Cathedral and main square. Rosa also gave me very good suggestions for traditional restaurants which I really appreciate!

The super well appointed kitchen! The huge window in my large, south facing room, because I really need light. They also have one room without a window, if you like a nice dark room to sleep in. The guys themselves, who run the business. I learned that they offer these delightful packages, where for a surprisingly affordable rate you come for somewhere between 1 and 4 weeks at a time and you get your room, Spanish language class and three home cooked meals daily, cultural and historic outings in the afternoons and explorations together beyond the city of Morelia on the weekends, if you choose to take part. Or you can take any of that time to explore on your own, if you prefer. The guys are fun, really down to earth and sooo helpful. They speak English, French and Spanish. There is a huge roof deck with great views across the city in all directions. I'll definitely come back to this place the next time I'm in Morelia.
