This was more a B&B than a hotel in a converted, historical wine making establishment. The building was superbly updated with modern furnishing and bathroom facilities. The hostess (owner) served us a delicious breakfast with homemade minis muffins, jams, fresh fruits. She was friendly and we had great conversation. I am so glad I found this just 15 minute drive from Carcassonne in the quiet village of Rustiques. We were even lucky to join a historical walking tour with a local historian who presented in 4 different languages.

Our host was very welcoming He had a secure place for our bikes. The house is absolutely charming our room was spotlessly clean the breakfast was served on his pretty terrace right next to the lock,which we also had a view from our room. We took a short walk to the port to have an evening meal. Would definitely recommend.
