Situated in the heart of Surrey, The Lodge @ Kingswood offers hotel accommodation within the grounds of a championship golf course. Very nicely decorated and comfy room with sitting area and nice view of forested area. I picked the hotel based on having easy car access to Gatwick, but was pleasantly surprised just how great of a place it was to stay. Will surely stay again when in area.

Located in North Hampshire, the elegant Aviator boasts unrivalled views of the private Farnborough airfield and airport, and sleek yet comfortable rooms with décor influenced by the timeless glamour... What an amazing gem of a hotel. I happened upon the Aviator while looking for somewhere to stay for the British Motor Show. The room was incredible, very clean and stylish (which goes for the whole hotel). The staff were lovely. They upgraded us to a studio room so we could have early check-in, which was so very kind.

Awarded 4 stars with a silver accolade by Visit Britain and surrounded by Surrey’s scenic countryside, The Princess Royal is situated just outside historic Farnham in the village of Runfold. Quality of hotel team and quality of rooms. Complimentary bar :) Not so far from city if you have a car.

Set in Dorking, 15 km from Box Hill, The Kings Head offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The bedrooms are confortable and very pretty. The garden is beautiful. Staff are very kind and dinner was great.

Set in Shepperton and only 11 km from Hampton Court Palace, Old Manor House offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. Great breakfast and very nice host

Offering a garden and garden view, Gatwick hideout is located in Charlwood, 28 km from Chessington World of Adventures and 28 km from Nonsuch Park. OK, I am staying here from now on whenever I have to fly out of Gatwick! Laura and Dan were such amazing hosts. Not only did Laura cheerfully offer to pick me up and drop me off at the airport for less than an Uber would've cost, and she kept me totally apprised at every step of the way about where to meet and timing, she also helped me to arrange delivery of delicious Chinese food for my dinner and assisted me with drying my clothes after I had a bit of a hiccup with the washing machine provided in the unit. (And what a thoughtful amenity for someone who has been traveling for 2 weeks to have a washer/dryer in the unit!) I loved meeting their two friendly Rottweilers as well. The dogs would come by and visit me when I was out on the lovely little patio, which I greatly appreciated having and especially the fact I was allowed to smoke and an ashtray and cute little seating area were provided. Hosts were readily available but never intrusive. The unit has everything a solo traveler could possibly want: fridge, kettle and a whole little kitchenette really, glasses, mugs, dishes and silverware included. Milk in the fridge and coffee, tea and sugar plus some other unexpected sundries like jam and peanut butter. Plenty of outlets for charging and a separate portable clicker for the lights! The bed was really comfy. There is a separate seating area with TV and you can log into your Netflix. Bathroom features a luxurious shower. The entire unit is just sparkling clean and they've paid attention to every single detail. Walking distance to a convenience store, pubs and restaurants. I was only there overnight before my flight, but would love to stay even longer!

Boasting a garden and views of garden, The Lodge Stanwell is a bed and breakfast set in a historic building in Stanwell, 11 km from Windsor Castle. Paul is very welcoming and accommodating. Communication was smooth. We had everything we needed, including nice dinner from a nearby takeaway and a good night’s sleep. Excellent breakfast served on time. We had full English breakfast and Eggs Benedict. Good to see that Paul enjoys running the b&b.

Located in Rudgwick and only 32 km from Box Hill, Melbury provides accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. Perfect location for a work trip in the area.
