Situated in Talkeetna in the Alaska region, Denali Fireside Cabin & Suites features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The venue did not supply breakfast but everything else was exceptional. Cabins were scrupulously clean and comfortable and facilities luxurious.

Jan is an open and friendly hostess engaged in the comfort and well-being of her guests. We stayed in the spacious master bedroom with comfortable bed and pillows, sofa, microwave, small fridge, and agreeable, pleasing décor. A private entrance leads to the deck which extends around two sides of the first floor. The master bathroom offers a long sink with two basins, (and a great liquid soap -- Mrs. Meyer’s made with olive oil and aloe vera). The walk-in closet with a small chest of drawers provides plenty of space for hanging your clothes. The kitchen, dining room, and living room are large and airy with lots of light from windows on three sides and a wonderful view of the mountain through windows that stretch to a vaulted ceiling. The dining room table provides a comfortable space for meeting and talking with other guests from all over the world at breakfast, dinner, or during the day. We appreciated the delicious granola, good coffee, fresh half-and-half, excellent yogurt (Chobani), bananas and lovely blueberries provided at breakfast. The house is set in nature surrounded by forest. A short dirt drive leads from the dirt road to private parking on the lawn in front of the house. You enjoy nature and peace a comfortable drive away from the hustle and bustle of touristic Seward. If puffins are on your bucket list, spend all the time you want with them at the Alaska Sea Life Center: wonderful! Many thanks for a great stay!

Located in Trapper Creek, in a building dating from 2003, McKinley View B&B offers guestrooms with free WiFi. Among the various facilities of this property is a shared lounge. The host is friendly, made us delicious breakfast. Location is great and easy access from main highway.

Set in Homer, 100 metres from Bishops Beach, Oceanhouse offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. Guests can use the hot tub, or enjoy sea views. Having a work orented layover, and finding the hotels of the Homer municipality mostly booked I inadvertently stumbled upon a luxury accommodation with a quiet comfortable ambiance and a breathtaking Alaskan ocean view. With elevation, the location gives a commanding view of the Homer spit, Kachemak bay, and the mountains and glaciers of the opposing side, and yet still low enough to be subjected to the steady droning of surf crashing and the crisp cool of the oceans salt air. The seaward entries have double doors that open and expose the master bedroom to this outdoor atmosphere and direct to the hot tub and deck lounge area. For feeling remote it can be hard to believe how close the location is to town center, and the end of the spit a pleasant bike ride away. With first rate amenities the sweets are staged to accommodate couples looking to have a few quality moments for themselves. Although traveling by myself I found the peace and quiet rejuvenating and I left my stay renewed as if I had been privy to a small vacation as opposed to a layover for work. I would recommend this stay to any Alaskan couple as is most definitely an experience worth the investment. I myself would like to return one day to share the experience with another. I thank the patrons for creating an opportunity and sharing a piece of their Alaskan dream.
