“nature around and style of the interiors: quite impressive! And people are friendly and competent”
“My wonderful big room with frescoes, the location, the building's history, the enthusiasm of the owner, the cleanliness, the town itself. Great restaurants and market”
“The staff was very attentive and helpful. Breakfast was also very good.”
“Everything about this hotel was absolutely first class. The facilities are excellent as are the reception team who are outstanding! this hotel goes the extra nine yards and the value for money is amazing.”
“room was huge with great view. big garden, all Villa is comfortable and clean.”
“We were driving from Pietrasanta (on the coast near Carrara) to Florence and wanted to stop in Pistoia to see its sights, since we'd read it was lovely but overshadowed by Florence (true!). The hotel was a wonderful surprise--quite nice and the price was a bargain. The staff was extremely helpful with great suggestions for parking and restaurants. Breakfast was good in their nice bar, and the wifi worked great. We would love to return to Pistoia and will stay here if we do.”
“Maria and Pierro, the owners of San Rocco made our stay the best we could have ever hoped for, the place itself is just incredible, if you want an idyllic farm setting (yet within touching distance of the local town and services including major supermarket, restaurants and train station), this will provide just that. From the beautiful farmland full of vineyards, tomato, strawberry, aubergine, squash plants, lemon, kumquat and olive trees to the fabulous pool area with the gorgeous backdrop of the mountains and the seating area in front of the beautiful main building which contains the great apartments, beautiful artwork and furniture and the traditional main kitchen. Overlooked by the village church, vicarage and bell tower again a great feature of the site. The hospitality of Maria, Pierro and Lisa is consistently fantastic and once a week there is a large meal/bbq with all guests who wish to attend plus family and friends of the owners where you are treated to the home made wine, grappe, limonchelo and amazing food. This is an absolute treasure of a location for an Italian vacation and a great base for Firenze, Pisa, Siena, Lucca, Pistoia and even Roma with the high speed (80 minute) rail link from Firenze. Thank-you to Maria and Pierro - they are truly the hosts with the mosts!”
“We arrived late in the evening and Alessandra and Sonia were there to meet us in the rain, and the next morning arrived at our door with fresh croissants. Our hosts made us very welcome and even gave us a ride into town to pick up our rental. The apartment had plenty of room and the setting looking out over the olive groves was perfect.”
“Very, very good and beautiful place! We are going to back in the future, certainly!”
“The location was perfect for our short stay in Pistoia. There was plenty of space and everything was clean and tidy. While we only stayed one night, this property would be perfect for much longer stays.”
