The location 1 km up the dirt track with no one but sheep, birds and fish around was great for us. We had eaten in town before so had no reason to leave once we got there.

The house is literally antique (the house is very old and is furnished in beautiful antiques) but all in perfect working order. Fireplaces kept going by staff and it's toasty warm in winter. Free guided tours to see frozen waterfalls and climb the nearby hills in the snow. Just perfect.

Beautiful lay out of lodge, which make experiencing of nature great. Effort to keep rooms warm. Fireplace in rooms were already burning when we arrived. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Thando. We had vehicle problems and they were very helpful.

The cottage is very stylish, with good quality furniture and fittings. The beds were perfect, the duvets were puffy and warm. The fireplace was very welcome with the snow on the mountains.

Spectacular views from spacious rooms. Fireplaces everywhere. Great food. Geoff and Carla are especially helpful and informative.

Tenahead is an exceptional place located in a sublime setting on the river and surrounding mountains. The building its self is amazing and the rooms are fantastic. Huge windows so your view is unlimited. Large fireplace in the room. The staff were there to make fires in the huge lounges and assist from arrival to departure. Nice comfortable deckchairs and great braai area. Everything in the unit is clean and works - very well stocked. Shower works with donkey, but started early in morning to ensure hot shower. Also a small farm shop just across the road with some basics and very good meat. Great value for money!WouterSolo traveler
