We booked round trip transportation through the guesthouse. They picked us up from our hotel in Shkoder and drove us to the ferry, then the ferry took us to the guest house. The travel accommodations were so helpful and reasonably priced. The guesthouse itself was nothing special, but the scenery was beautiful. The female check-in employee was fairly rude, but all of the other staff was very friendly. The food was excellent. The lounge chairs along the river were cheap and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, we were unaware that everything on the river was CASH ONLY and there is no way to take money out. Therefore we had to cut our trip short. Would stay here again with the expectation that that the location is worth it but the accommodations are definitely not resort style. AND DONT FORGET PLENTY OF CASH

Wonderful location. The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s so beautiful! The room was clean and spacious, with comfortable beds. The food was great and reasonably priced. The staff was amazing.

The location is very close the the main tourist location in the area, the Blue Eye. This is how we have chosen this property. There was a big parking available and on-site restaurant, details important because the area is generally lacking eating opportunities. The breakfast was fabulous, with some kind of small breads made on the spot and honey or fig jam. The waiter told us that is was a local custom in the distant past to great very important visitors (like kings) with that type of food. Each morning I ate all, until I could barely move.

Hotel Francesca's is a quaint place with lots of personality. The staff is very welcoming, helpful and kind. There is a garage where you can play pool for free, while getting a cold beer from the bar upstairs. The hotel is beautifully located by lake Komani with easy access by car to the ferry. However, be aware that the road to get to lake Komani is quite bad and we definitely recommend driving to the hotel while it is still daylight. The last hours drive the road is interchangeably paved or gravel with plenty of wholes and bumps while driving in the mountains. But at least the roads are quite broad, which helps. If you plan on taking the ferry in the morning on lake Komani to Feirze, this is a cozy place to stay for a night.
