“There are many places to sit around and chat and socialise. The facilities were great and very clean. Close to the main walks and I would definitely stay again.”
“The gorgeous location, the friendly and attentive staff, the comfortable room, excellent dinner (and packed lunch for our hike)”
“Run by Federico and his parents, Martin and Mara, this was an ideal choice for a hiking paradise. We got sound advice from Federico re transport, restaurants, hikes and tours as well as the most advantageous currency exchange Mara does a serious apple strudel/crumble. We loved this hotel and would not hesitate to return.”
“Location, staff, hospitality, breakfast”
“Cleanliness of the hostel was great - everybody seemed quite respectful of the common areas keeping it very clean. I also loved the bins in the kitchen for dry goods. It is so simple and keeps things organized.”
“Everything, starting with the staff, and concluding with the shower was excellent.”
“The owner/hosts, Pato and Ivor are very warm and knowledgable people. They truly built and operate this lodge out of their passion for the magnificent area the lodge is located in. It's really off the beaten path, very unique and extremely special. Very worth the trip getting there. Stay at least three nights. We can't wait to go back! They also have a great staff. We loved Juluana, the hiking guide. Also, had fresh rainbow trout caught from the glacier fed lake right outside. Like a dream!”
“Good facilities, great design, friendly english-speaking staff”
“The beds were so comfortable, the bedding warm and extremely clean. Anita was accecible for any questions and was always very helpful.”
“if you want your own apartment (ideal for 2 - can definately fit 3 ok) so you can relax and cook after a great hike. stay here the owner speaks english and will advise you on everything (hikes, weather, shops, pubs etc) apartment is VERY MODERN and has everything to cook and fridge. it is at the far end of town from the bus stop (so a 7 - 10 min walk). and at the foot of the cerro torre hike. you will not be disappointed here. price was about 50eur per night at the time. which we felt was fair”
“This is a truly unique and remarkable hotel that is comfortable, cozy, inviting, friendly AND right at the start of fantastic hiking trails, literally out the door. The location is unmatched!”
“The owner, Heloise, is a great guide. The reception for her part is pretty awesome (she really knows her business). She can give you a lot of recommendations (depending what kind of activities you wanna do). Totally recommend.”
“Staff were nice and gave us some great information. The room, was lovely, and pretty sound proof, something missing in most Argentina hotels. Breakfast was pretty standard. The best thing was the separate kitchen, it was a great spot to sit and have a wine and do a bit of cooking.”
“Nice room. TV. Modern bathroom. Clean towels. Soap and shampoo conditioner. Good reception staff. But mind you 21% vat will be added. My hotels in Mendoza and Bariloche didn't add that. So definitely becomes more expensive. Decent breakfast: cereal, milk, juice, yogurts, croissant, bread, meat Walking distance to everything but then El Chalten is a tiny town.”
“Very friendly management, especially Julietta who was incredibly helpful. Very central in El Chalten. The hotel is very comfortable and nice, with large rooms, even though the overall style lacks of charm and feels a bit out of place in the overall more backpackers oriented village of El Chalten. The SPA bathtub was great after strenuous hikes.”
“The staff did everything to make our stay perfect! The hotel is new and beautiful, very very clean all the time, perfect location close to the beginning of hiking trails, the restaurant serves delicious food and the free breakfast is the best that I've had in all of Argentina! I would definitely come back here again, it was the perfect place to relax in between the hiking in Chalten!”
“The cabanas are located in the center of El Chalten and not far away from the bus station. The staff is really nice and helpful for all purposes (weather conditions, supermarkets, buses timetable and prices…). The cabanas are well equipped and good sized. To get hot water or pressure, you have to open all taps. This is normal in El Chalten since most hotels are depended from water pumps. If you need a hand, the hotel staff will come and help you! The wifi works pretty well for El Chalten.”
