Cute city, but lacks content.
Cute city, but lacks content. We were there for skiing in the winter months. Ski area is pretty small, just a few slopes. The city itself is very small and cute, but boring. There is no events or activities except skiing whatsoever. It also lacks restaurants and cafes in the city and at the skiing grounds as well. There are 2 middle sized grocery stores which is ok. It has beautiful nature and is very peaceful and quiet.

The village is rural and has a lovely rustic feel.
The village is rural and has a lovely rustic feel. If you have beginners in the group you need to know that the main ski area is separated from the nursery slopes by a cable car ride. If the whole group can ski blue runs or higher this would not be a problem but if you have to meet beginners at the bottom you need to factor in time to get back there. The resort is on the small side but v. busy during school holidays. The ski schools are excellent.

The surroundings are very scenic and Rauris represents the ideal starting point for walks in the area, giving good access to the Rauristal and the Grossglockner. The "guest card" means that many attractions can be visited without paying. A thoroughly enjoyable place and we shall go there again.

Peace, relaxation, plenty of possibilities for hiking in nature, birdwatching (interesting birds of prey centre and living birds of prey demonstration - I even touched an owl, WHOW!), very interesting local history and cultural heritage (museum!) - just perfect place to relax away from mass tourism. But Rauris has everything much larger and crowdier places have - including a cable car, nice restaurants and caffes, shops with sport equipment... all at hand and very friendly.
Very good location within 2 minutes walking distance of the main gondola. Spacious room in basement for skiis and boots. The Sauna was superb and the apartment was bigger than we expected. More than enough space for a family of 5. The owner Otto was very helpful with any questions we had and all communication with staff was good. Restaurants, grocery store (Billa) and outdoor sporting goods stores (Eggers and Intersport) are within walking distance. We did not have a car and that was no problem at all.
i highly recommend to choose this property which looks new and equipped with all what you need. the place was fabulous and the service was amazing from all hotel staff, specially from Monic and Pepe. i personally had some issues when my car broke down and they helped me and supported me to fix the problem. thank you for the great hospitality Golden Lodges.
We loved the town of Rauris, easy access to restaurants and other areas in the Tirol. Beautiful scenery right outside our balcony! Parking was easy and there were washing machine facilities available that we took advantage of. Smart TV for evenings where we could use our own netflix was also great. Each room has their own wifi which is super helpful.
Located up the mountain 10 minutes drive from Rauris village this house is a perfect stay to explore the area
The house is big with fully eqipped kitchen, large bedrooms, and theres nothing better than relaxing in the sauna at the end of the day
The view is amazing, and Maria, the owner is very friendly and helpfull
Definitely recommend the place!!
The spa area was incredible - everything felt brand new about the hotel. It was extremely quiet in our room even though we were very close to lots of other people. It was also very close to the ski lift (truly ski in / ski out which was great). Huge balcony to hang out on and lots of space to hang out with our 9 total people. Great value!
Very nice, well equiped apartement in a new house, in a quiet locality 10 minutes walk from Rauris, next to the bus stop, large balcony with a nice view, comfy bed, elevator. Sauna and wash machine in the basement. Contactless check in went smoothly, Vera from agency is ready to respond your answers.
- Hotel has a good sauna complex, though you have to be ready that there is no schedule of visit, so you'll be there with a bunch of people and sometimes wait for a one of sauna rooms to get free.
- Good breakfasts and restaurant, we enjoyed few dinners there with a tasty food and good portions
Very nice stuff, even more for kids (and even little noisy ones)
Fabulous cousine - for it´s price point (20E dinner) best value I´ve ever got in Austria (5 course menu)
Nice wellness
Newly designed rooms
Spacious parking lot

Well equipped, nice house with a great location to Hochalmbahn. Perfect accomodation for 4 adults+4 children for a ski-week. Private ski storage with heater, sauna and washing room with dryer makes the skiing really comfortable.
Beautiful charming apartment, very unique. Perfect central location to everything and a short walk away to ski area. The hosts went above and beyond to help when needed. We will rebook in the future.
The place is beautiful with an breathtaking view. the room was clean and comfortable with a great and spacious shower. we had an amazing dinner at the place and the best breakfast we had in Austria.
The hotel was a hiddeg gem, beautiful landscape to the mountains. The rooms are fine, food is great and the staff treats you well. Definitely recommended.
