Scratch the surface of Australia’s undiscovered gem with its blend of wonderful beaches, wide boulevards and extensive parklands including the Adelaide Botanic Garden. The City of Churches chimes to the beat during festival season with the Adelaide Festival of Arts, Adelaide Fringe and WOMADelaide.
The Torrens River flows through the city from the surrounding Mount Lofty Ranges. The Adelaide Hills features The Cleland Conservation Park that includes a wildlife park where you can pat koalas and Mount Lofty Summit with its panoramic views of the city. Hahndorf, with its German history, is another highlight.
The coast has some fantastic beaches, with historic Glenelg as a favorite local playground, while further south are the shores of Aldinga where you can drive your car onto the beach.
There are few better multicultural markets than the Adelaide Central Market, or choose from lots of museums and art galleries, some with free entry. The picturesque and historic Adelaide Oval is a favorite for sports lovers.
Booking.com has accommodations in the city, or visit surrounding areas like the Barossa Valley, Flinders Ranges and Kangaroo Island.
“The internal fit out was outstanding. The downstairs restaurant and bar amenities are world class at this hotel. The rates were very reasonable and worth a look at. The Mayfair is in the heart of the city, close to the tram stop so you can visit Glenelg. North Adelaide is a stones throw away so you wont be stuck for choices of restaurants whether its Rundle St, Gouger Street or North Adelaide. Well done to the owners of this hidden gem in Adelaide.”
“We have stayed numerous times at the Oaks in both Adelaide & Glenelg. We have previously been 100% satisfied. We enjoy the locations, views, kitchen facilities, hotel facilities & spa. Usually great value for money.”
“Spent 4 nights at hotel. Friendly staff. Breakfasts were very good but at extra cost. Room was fine and clean. Location good within easy reach by tram or walking from Glenelg and 10 mins drive from Adelaide. Friendly staff.”
“We loved staying at the Glenelg apartments as the team was so close and therefore we could access much of what is on offer in Adelaide. The size of the house meant there was plenty of room for all the couples travelling together to spread lut and there were plenty of restaurants just around the corner. It was a great place to stay.”
“The location is perfect with the beautiful Glenelg Beach and vibrant Jetty Road with restaurants and shopping at the door. The hotel is also conveniently located to the Adelaide Airport and is a comfortable tram trip to the city centre. The room rates are reasonable. Try Creme Restaurant for breakfast.”
