Toowoomba is a great town.
I love the way that it has retained much of it's heritage and feel of being a big country town rather than a city.
Locals are friendly and helpful, streets are wide and parking is easy.
I will be back...

Toowoomba is a beautiful city, especially if you are partial to trees and gardens. In addition to this there is more than enough shopping and some amazing views. Plus the cafe scene is well stocked and bars are all over the place! Certainly worth the trip.

Toowoomba has beautiful gardens, and flowers all around the city.
They still have many of the old architectural building which is a credit to the town. Being central you could walk just about everywhere.

Our last overnight stop before home so did not spend much time there.
Would be an ideal place to stay for the yearly flower festival. Visited the Cobb & Co museum which was very interesting. Nice, very popular cafe inside. Made our own supper with food purchased from the Coles supermarket which was right near the Jacaranda Place Motor Inn. A fast food outlet was situated on the other side of the road, so no need to go hungry.

We came to Toowoomba to visit a family member in Hospital, it was not a trip for pleasure unfortunately, but its like any other city, hustle and bustle of traffic flow, if you don't like the rat race of traffic, don't drive in the busy periods.

The Flower Gardens on Display were First Class and the idea of bringing the displays to the retail shops windows is excellent for the local businesses, plus it helps to spread out the large viewing population. If you don't like being in the bustle of QLD school holidays, might need to think a little to avoid the crush. The retail Food outlets do a fantastic job of catering for the masses in a timely fashion, careful some restaurants need to to be booked ahead of time. You could plan this when doing your accommodations. Also you could use the area as home base for some localised scenic day tours.
Overall a score of 9 out of 10 ...
I was in Toowoomba for an eye operation and the hotel was just a short taxi ride away from the hospital. I picked the hotel because of its proximity to the Wilsonton Shopping Centre as I had to be there a day before the operation to see the specialist and would then be in Toowoomba without a car so as I had an afternoon to kill thought it would be best to be near shopping. As I was on my own I had a room service meal that night, which was delicious as the meals are really good and value for money.
The staff member was very accommodating when I told her the highway was cut by flood waters, and I couldn't get home. The motel was able to provide another night stay. The room was really good. L
ocation was handy and not too far from Toowoomba CBD, the local supermarket, and restaurants.
From the moment we arrived at Potters we felt at home, the staff from the Reception , restaurant to the cleaners are outstanding, so friendly and accommodating, is a credit to Management. The location of the hotel to downtown Toowoomba and the cleanliness well appointed rooms is outstanding.
We had an excellent stay. Lady at reception was very friendly. Will definitely stay here again. Clean and comfortable room. Very quiet at night and had a good night's sleep. Easy access to all places we needed to go to in Toowoomba.
We liked the convenience to everything central to CBD Toowoomba. The well rated Chinese Restaurant across the road wasn't open due to Christmas Week, however if it was it would have been great to experience. The room was spacious.
The unit's space, kitchen and bathroom set up meant the grandkids could visit and relax just as if it was our place. Staff were friendly and helpful.
This will always be our first choice for accommodation when visiting Toowoomba.
It was a comfortable size for our family. The hotel were able to provide a cot and extra linen. The bottles of water in the fridge were appreciated after walking around looking at the flowers all day. The beds were comfy.
The location was great, so easy to get too. We travel a lot and you often feel locked in the hotel room. Our room has a lovely view of the Toowoomba Range which made the room so light and airy, it was very relaxing.
This hotel is our go to for any medical or hospital stays in Toowoomba. Not only is the hotel close and quiet, but the owner goes out of her way to make sure you have everything you need and is so accommodating.
location was good, easy check in and check out. secure parking. Good kitchen facilities. Nice outdoor table, not the standard wonky table and cheap outdoor furniture. Comfortable beds and nice bed linen.
Friendly staff. Motel was accommodating to a special request we needed. Rooms were very clean, couldn't fault anything. Beds were comfortable. Would highly recommended Ruthven Street Motor Inn.
The location was perfect for our stay. Easy walking and driving distance to the main areas of Toowoomba and the lock up garage was a bonus. Hollie was a very caring and helpful host.
