Cozy loft in Upper Gibsons, hotel in Bowen Island

Featuring a terrace, Cozy loft in Upper Gibsons provides accommodations in Gibsons. With free private parking, the property is 1.2 miles from Armors Beach and 1.3 miles from Georgia Beach.

Although certainly cozy, the loft has everything you need for a short stay, including an excellent entertainment system, well-stocked kitchen, and an adorable little table to eat at. We didn't need air conditioning on our stay, but this is probably one of the few places on the Sunshine Coast where you'll find it in case your visit coincides with a hot spell. Most importantly, the hosts go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, and they went the extra mile when we left a few items behind, holding on to them until we returned a few days later!

It may be a small island but it is packed with charm and warm, friendly locals. Uptown Bowen Island's artisan market is a must as are all the wonderful restaurants, bakeries, the pub, distillery and gift shops. We recommend the Killarney Lake Loop hike as well as the hike up to Dorman Point for amazing views. The ferry ride itself is beautiful and should be enjoyed from the ship deck rather than your car.

A great little get away from Vancouver.

A great little get away from Vancouver. We were able to arrive from Vancouver on a BC Transit bus, walk on to the ferry in Horseshoe Bay and walk around the Bowen Island. We stayed the night but this could be an easy day trip as well.

Great island to visit whether you want to rest or hike.

Great island to visit whether you want to rest or hike. Restaurants were super, from casual to reservation only. My husband & I hiked together and he went on to hike Mt. Gardner 2,400 ft. We enjoyed everything about quaint Bowen Island.

Bowen island is a very relaxing place. The best place to go to if you want to escape one of the biggest cities on the west coast of north america. The ferry ride is only 20 minutes to 30 minutes long.

Drove to view the Lighthouse which was very picturesque.

Drove to view the Lighthouse which was very picturesque. Even saw a family of seals close by. The calm pace of the town is a perfect way to escape city life. The fact that some store close early or not open certain days made it that much more quaint. Loved it and will be back.
