2 stars Motel 6 - Toronto West - Burlington - Oakville Good 7.3 Excellent place for anyone on a budget who just wants a good night's sleep.
3 stars Admiral Inn Very good 8.3 We really thought the buffet breakfast was great. Lots of selection & good food.
Royal Inn Pleasant 6.5 Comfy bed and a clean room at a good price.
3 stars Waterfront Hotel Good 7.7 We loved the hotel. The pool and well equipped exercise room overlooked the lake. Great whirlpool, free pool towels, bathroom/shower/lockers for pool, large pool with steps down into water with hand-rail--very relaxing. Hotel staff was very kind, one noticed that some one had sprayed barb-b-que sauce over our windshield late Saturday night, and immediately deducted 20% off from our room. The location is on a recently renovated waterfront, with a small sandy beach, pier and long walk along the lake. Canadian geese and swans made for great bird watching, and we dipped our feet into the cool lake water. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a sofa reading area, large desk, Keurig coffee maker with tea, coffee and decaf choices. The king size bed gave a good nights sleep. We were on the second floor in 208 and it was a quiet night's rest. We had a side view of the lake and the window could be partially opened with a screen for air circulation. The a/c was easy to adjust for our comfort level. Breakfast was in the hotel restaurant with lots of seating choices and nice views of the lake; one could also eat on the patio, but it was too sunny and a bit breezy so we ate indoors. 4 choices of cereal, cheese omelets, toast, bagels, sweet rolls, yoghurt, bacon and potatoes, plus a great fresh melon-orange-grape-pineapple fruit salad with the usual coffee, tea, juice, water and decaf beverages made for an ample breakfast. All of the staff we met were kind and knowledgeable. There were free green apples on the desk and free daily papers-the Toronto Star and USA today.

    • I was attending a family funeral and not much concerned about my personal comfort. However the cost of staying in Hamilton was excessive. Best Weatern Burlington offered good value, a reasonable location and good access for all the family events I had to attend. I would stay there again and would expect to enjoy the stay as much as I did this one. Thanks Best Western Burlington. Ed.

    • The place is an extended stay. A lot of sloppy obsese men or drunk creeps stay there with their doors wide open and just stare at you.. you have to hold your breath walking past rooms because the air conditioner shoots out stinky air. Comforters are never washed. The carpets are disgusting. The only pro was decent WiFi and walking distance to whatever you need. My advice is to pay the extra 40 and stay at the best western beside it .

    • Staff at front desk very helpful. Free telephone calls over Canada and us
