Unless you are visiting family or friends I was not aware of any particular attractions or events at the time I was there. You need a car to get around as there is not really any local transit. I did not have any particular favourite place. They do have a farmer's market on Saturdays in which the main downtown road is closed down to a variety of vendors.

From our perspective we made a mistake as we were trying to stay in Toronto during a 16 hour flight layover and were taken aback to be in Georgetown. However a couple of beers in Shoeless Joe's and the comfortableness of the rooms overcame our disappointment!
