  • I really liked the fact that they did not ask me for my driver's license number because this is being done by some hotels and it is really wrong. Staff was really friendly. No password required for wifi. They recognized I was there for medical reasons and gave me two receipts with out me asking.

  • The beds were great, the pool is fine, the location is excellent: Port Arthur is having a renaissance, and this hotel will be a part of it.

  • They had a good selection for the free breakfast, they even had one of my favorite teas which was nice! The room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly. There was a really good restaraunt next to the hotel. There were also options that you could choose from Tim Hortons, subway etc. Location is about 10-12 minutes away from the airport - pretty much right down the highway.

  • The hotel has a certain charm as it is a 100 year old former Canadian National Railway hotel. The location is excellent - next to the revitalized marina and a few excellent new restaurants (Tom Lin & the Silver Birch) and pubs (the Sovereign & theFoundry). The bed was comfy as were the new white linens. The room was a good size, and the view of the Sleeping Giant was stunning.

  • Breakfast included. The hotel was close to work and exploring the city on off times. Staff was helpful and room was always cleaned well.

  • Airport shuttle a bonus. Very historical. Enjoyed reading and looking at pictures about the history of the hotel and city. The live entertainment was great. Staff very helpful.

Holiday Inn Motel Pleasant 6.7 3 of us (adults) stayed at the holiday inn motel for 2 nights. We were passing through and wanted to do some sight seeing around the Thunder Bay Area. We got a room that had a bedroom with 2 double beds and queen sized bed in the main room. The rooms were quite dated - like a blast to the past but they were clean & the beds were really comfortable. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. I'm not entirely sure how great the area was as far as "good or bad side of town" because it was the first time we were in Thunder Bay, but it seemed quite safe and there wasn't a lot of traffic or noise. If you want something really fancy then this isn't the place for you but if you just need a place to have a decent shower, a good nights sleep and a cup of coffee in the morning - without spending a ton of money, then I definitely recommend it.
