Go to Bissone if you have a car and if you are Italian, or know the language well. Bissone is roughly 20 mins away by car from Lugano and has a railway connection in the nearby town of Melide. From Melide to Bissone a traveller can go on foot as there is a promenade along the lake. This promenade is one of the most beautiful I have found in Lugano, it is worth going to Bissone, just for its sake.RoxanaUnited Kingdom

Then the location outside Lugano that can be reached in 20 minutes by car. The restaurant was nice: we had one dinner and all breakfast. No complaint. Staff extremely friendly. The garage is very practical. There is a nice pool that we did not use. Dinner on the terrace is great. This hotel deserves more stars.

The hotel is situated on the lake Lugano, and features great views! Rooms are super clean, staff is very polite, mattress is comfortable, WiFi is quite fast. Breakfast was also OK. There is also a large garage where we parked our car. Will be back!
