Located in Uvita, 8.1 miles from Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary, Ballena Rey Hotel has accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Our stay at this hotel was fantastic! Although there was a power outage in the city for about 2 hours during our stay, the staff handled the situation incredibly well, reassuring us that it was a common occurrence. The team was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The rooms were well-equipped, including a small kitchenette, and very spacious. The pool was a perfect way to cool down, and there’s parking conveniently located right in front of the hotel. The beach is just a 10-minute drive away, making it an ideal location for a relaxing stay. The breakfast was excellent, and we also had the option to purchase dinner, which was a great addition. Highly recommended!

Located in Fortuna, 2.9 miles from La Fortuna Waterfall, Cabañas del Rio has accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking and a garden. The property manager (Leonardo) and the staff care for the guests as people. In my case, a thunderstorm brewed over the night and I was planning to drive to our next location. Leonardo and another staff member looked up some local news to make sure we knew what the safest route was. In regard to the room, they have 2 AC units and loads of space for either couples or small families. The community is secure and feels very cozy. Breakfast is delicious. HIGHLY HIGHLY regard others to stay here.

Offering direct access to the beach, Lanna Ban Hotel is located in Puerto Viejo. The hotel features an exotic garden and contemporary Thai architecture. Free WiFi access is available. Breakfast was very good. A little bit limited in options, but delicious

Located on the banks of River Baru, Hotel Villas Río Mar is also within a walking distance of 2953 feet from the Village of Dominical. Beautiful facilities, gorgeous spacious rooms and the best Pina Colada and Moscow Mules made by Carlos!! The villas are lovely - and only a 700m walk from the centre of Dominical. it was also lovely to swim in the river.

This tropical hotel is located next to Costa Rica's Arenal Volcano, 3.7 mi from La Fortuna. It offers a natural hot spring, outdoor adventure activities, a luxurious spa and scenic volcano views. multiple hot springs and a swim up bar. Rooms are good sized.

Located in La Fortuna town, San Bosco Inn offers an outdoor pool and lush gardens, free Wi-Fi in public areas and rooms with garden views. The Arenal Volcano is 3.1 mi away. The hotel is beautiful, rooms are comfortable, water pressure in the shower was great, breakfast was amazing and we loved that we could visit the termal waters somewhere else.

Centrally located in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca town center and just a 3-minute walk from Salsa Brava Beach, Hotel Indalo adults only features an extensive garden, sun terrace and free Wi-Fi. The owner of Indalo was amazing! Very welcoming, polite, and kind. Fresh coffee was available every morning and drinking water throughout the day. He helped me with everything I needed during my stay and was very supportive during my checkout when I almost missed my flight. The hotel is within walking distance from everything in Puerto Viejo and offers free safe parking space. My room was safe and quiet, the air conditioner was working perfectly, and cleaned every day. I would definitely choose it in case of returning to Puerto Viejo!
