All in all, this can be well recommended. Breakfast was not booked, but looked to be appropriate for other guests who did. Achim is, well, Achim, so not a lot going on, but there are a few good restaurants a short walk or drive nearby – Bootshaus, Gieschens, others. There is a large supermarkt on the opposite corner from the hotel. According to the owner, tea & coffee making facilities (outside of breakfast times) are about to drop.

Everything about this Hotel was perfect. Easy to find, just off the motorway. Booking in with the receptionist was a breeze, who thankfully spoke English and was very helpful and approachable and told us about the excellent Italian restaurant next door where we had our evening meal. Parking was free and right outside the Hotel. The room was bright and clean with good quality furnishings and a big en-suite shower room. Had a great nights sleep in the big comfy bed, which was just what we needed. The included breakfast was no less than superb. I had smoked salmon and scrambled egg with cucumber and soft cheese with dill followed by fresh fruit salad and yoghurt. Plenty of other things to chose from including cereals, breads and rolls continental hams and cheeses. Coffee on the tables plus a wide selection of teas. All in all a great stay and even though we were only there for one night, we would have been happy to stay there much longer. Highly recommended.
