This place was fantastic! It's not the Ritz, but that's not what I wanted. Clean, quiet (I would have bet money that there was only one other guest in the place, but the breakfast area was full!) and great internet.
This is my first experience in Germany and I had no idea these places existed. For the price, I can't touch this level of quality in the States.
I tried to book for another night, but they were full:(.

Erbach is a lovely town in the Odenwald.
Erbach is a lovely town in the Odenwald. We enjoyed our visit to the Erbach Palace where we saw the impressive collection of natural artifacts and the armor collection. The streets surrounding the palace were charming. We were also impressed by the Restaurant Michel, the Greek Restaurant Mareki, and Da Nino Italian Restaurant. The Hotel Wappenstube was charming with spacious, well appointed rooms, friendly hosts, and a delicious breakfast by the cozy fireplace. There is a lovely toy shop with many Christmas, Nativity, and children’s toys that are made of wood. We used Erbach as our home while we visited Miltenberg, Kleinheubach, and towns in the Odenwald.Walter

When I made the reservation, I did not know about Erbach. But once I arrived at Wappenstube, the stunning beauty of Erbach greatly surprised me. The facility has a very good restaurant, and it is right behind the main historical town center. And the Erbach town center is so beautiful with the garden, the schloss, the old rathaus, with a river surrounding the area. It is a great surprise for me. I think here is even more beautiful than Michelestadt.

The location is fantastic - 5 minute walk around the corner to tourist centre and cafes in the old section of Erbach, easy parking at the hotel and by far the best buffet breakfast with plenty of options which tasted amazing. We had a small room, the bed was still massive - firm but comfy. Balcony access was wonderful. Would stay again for a weekend getaway/longer!

Nothing was missing in the kitchen and even things like coffe, tea and sugar was well stocked. And everything was absolutely spotless clean. The owners live in the other half of the house, but the apartment is completely separate. Erbach is a cute little village with an impressing castle and museum. We highly recommend this apartment.

It is located in the centre of the small and very picturesque town literally next door to the Schloss and the Germany Ivory museum. The room was spacious with additional space for the kitchen.
