The old town of Kelheim is a small town that's interesting for a long weekend if you like Germany and hiking. The hiking paths on the north side of the Danube are well-marked. The paths on the south side are not.

Kelheim is a cute town on the Danube river and very easy access to lots of walking/hiking or biking paths. Great location for day trips to other sites. and a stop for many of the river cruises we saw.
The most comfortable accommodation so far this trip along the Danube. A spacious , light room with a super comfy mattress.
We were greeted on arrival by our Host a kindly gentleman who helped us stow our bikes safely, incidentally he also helped us clean the Danube mud from them before we left.
We had a delicious breakfast both mornings and our hostess took great trouble to ensure we had all the correct information for our onward journey on the Danube ferry to Kelheim
Almost everything. The location is great, and very peaceful in the evening once the day visitors have left. Very quiet overnight. If you are lucky you might hear the organ if you visit the Chapel. Also it is only 400m from the ferry that goes through the Donaudurchbruch to Kelheim, so if you are cycling or walking you can easily take the first boat and leave before the crowds arrive.
Dreamcation lived up to its name. It was in an ideal location in Kelheim. The apartment was clean and spacious, and quite cool compared to the hot days Kelheim experienced. The neighborhood was quite, and had several restaurants and grocery stores (Lidl and Aldi) in easy walking distance.
Good hotel with a lot of facilities. Very close to the bus stop and cruise.
Breakfast was good and big, but a bit expensive in my opinion.
We got top floor attic rooms with no AC. In summer it was very difficult .
They have foosball, billiards and a decent workout gym.
Overall good.
Comfortable boutique hotel/guest house just 2 mins' walk from old quarter. Large bedroom. Quiet, charming location. Helpful staff. Tasty breakfast in a lovely breakfast room replete with historical photos and items. Recommended!
Great location, the apartment was comfortable. Kelheim is a cute picturesque village, very touristy but that is OK for us. There are some nice restaurants, such as the Indian place or buk cafe - amazing breakfast!
This is an amazing place. It is a luxury hotel for a half the price. I recovered from jet lag here. I slept so comfortably here. The breakfast was amazing! I love this hotel and highly recommend it to all.
Staff, our room, and the breakfast was wonderful. We are so pleased that we stayed here. Great access to the cycling trail, secure place for our bicycles and we were on the main street of Kelheim.
comfortable room with some hotel amenities if needed. they have bike storage for those cycling the Danube. WiFi was standard, like most of Germany it’s not great but you could work here.
