The owners are so welcoming, as well as the staff at the hotel. It is quite area. In 40min drive is Garmish. We were with kids and tried to go for Zugspitze but the weather was not nice and did not make it (there is a panorama web cam so you can check it via website). Alternatively, you can go for the cable car near ski jump platform. We all loved the place.

I don't know why other reviewers complained about the reception staff. Both women I dealt with were excellent. The restaurant next door had great food, and there too the staff were very friendly. I came to Penzberg to go to the very good art museum. If I had more to do there, I would have stayed at the hotel longer.

Doris and Michael are just the nicest people, very helpful. if you are ever coming to Penzberg, I would definitely recommend booking their apartment.

The hotel has an atmosphere and a style, so even a short break allows to enjoy it. We loved the Xmas decorations (we stayed between Xmas an NY), when even napkins in the restaurant were on matching theme.

Hotel Rooms are extremly comfotable and good room size, to sleep it´s very quiet and you see the Alps. Just perfect!
