Hotel Sierra Madre Good 7.5 The staff were excellent. As a single female traveller I was very happy with the assistance given. I organised my airport transfers with the hotel via email and received same day replies, and they were there to pick me up when I arrived. I always felt safe, Laundromat and convenience store a short walk from hotel and a large supermarket and good restaurants are only a few blocks away. The hotel organised taxis when I needed to travel further. Breakfasts were included and very wholesome. Family members had stayed here previously and spoke highly of their experience. There are no elevators so you do need to carry luggage upstairs unless you request a ground or first floor room. You may also feel the effects of altitude when climbing the stairs! Would definitely stay there again.
Hotel Quito Good 7.6 The pool was great, staff we're very helpful.
Hotel Vieja Cuba Excellent 8.9 Staff were so helpful and friendly - they went out of their way to assist us.
Hotel Patio Andaluz Wonderful 9 Beautiful and sophisticated. The staff were welcoming, friendly and caring. I felt as if I were coming home to family each time I returned from an adventure. Food was excellent for the price
Hotel Boutique Cafe Cultura Excellent 8.6 The staff were superb. The ambiance of the reception area -magical with cosy library...vases of roses...roaring fireplace (great touch on days of torrential rain!),, plus unique charming accommodation
Hotel Rio Amazonas Very good 8.1 Got a room on the front of the hotel that was very noisy with local club music. We were immediately moved to a quieter room. Excellent service. The hotel restaurant had excellent food and service.
Dann Carlton Quito Excellent 8.7 Very comfortable hotel. Excellent staff and facilities.
Hotel Finlandia Very good 8.5 The location is great! You can walk to the mall and restaurants nearby. No need to take a taxi
Hotel San Francisco De Quito Very good 8.1 We were located up a little higher in the building and didn't hear any of the noise some have mentioned. Friendly and helpful staff, a good value I would say.
Travellers Inn Very good 8.3 One of my favorite places to stay in South America! Traveler's Inn is on a quiet street a few blocks away from Plaza Foch in the Mariscal. It is a family-run inn, and you really feel at home when you stay here. The rooms are incredibly clean and super cute! There is hot water all the time. The breakfast is delicious (fresh fruit, fresh bread, eggs, yogurt, juice, and coffee). The entire family runs the Inn, so there is always somewhere here to help you, and they are super nice! They also run a travel agency which is on site, and will help you book activities in and around Quito. The prices are reasonable and it's so convenient! I've been back twice already, and will be staying here again two more times between excursions. Amazing place!
Hotel Akros Very good 8.2 Helpful staff. Proximity to the workplace was surely an advantage. Check in and check out was quick and convenient.
Hotel Reina Isabel Excellent 8.8 Very comfortable rooms. Breakfast was very nice good choice. Internet in the room was very handy. Would reccomend staying in this hotel
Casa Gangotena Wonderful 9.3 The service, the attention to detail, the total focus on providing the best experience for guests, the extensive floral display, the ease with which they respond to requests for changes to arrangements, the afternoon tea (gratis) with bountiful savoury and sweet pastries -- beyond comparison!
Esmeraldas Good 7.3 Great location 1 and 1/2 blocks from Theatro Sucre. For the most part, quiet, especially from street noise. As the building has walls that are three feet thick. It also has a nice little balcony.

    • Stepping through the front door is like stepping into another (very elegant) world! It was a delight to explore the public rooms that are filled with art, antiques, and whimsical details. My room was beautifully decorated, wonderfully comfortable, and very quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful in organizing my taxi to the airport, and the hotel location was perfect for walking to the main attractions of Old Town. Breakfast was simple but good, with excellent lattes to sip while enjoying the great view!

    • This hotel was located in a great location for exploring old town Quito. The staff was helpful with arranging a restaurant reservation on Christmas Day when most places were closed. The daily breakfast was offered until 10:30 am, which included eggs made to order and fresh juice.

    • Ambiant Central Common Area. Bright mezzanine with cozy tables and spectacular "stained glass" skylight. Friendly & Helpful Staff. Guest Rooms buffered from Road Noise. Lush, tropical feel of the hotel in general--Yummy!. Breakfast Included. Location of the hotel in interesting Old Town Quito.

    • This hotel is close to old town, casa de la cultura (with the best free museum in South America, get a guided tour) and with good communications to the newer part of the city. Easy to reach both from airport and bus terminal. The staff is excellent!

    • This hotel is conveniently located enabling you to walk to the old town or La Mariscal district. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and the bedding is first class. The afternoon tea idea is a great way to unwind at the end of the day.
