Real Agua Amarga La Joya - Adults Only Wonderful 9.4 We had holidays for near one week in october. Everything was perfect: + the clean, spacious and well furnished suite with a nice terrace + the wonderful hotel garden with flowering herbs and tropical bushes + having fresh breakfast under palms at the pool + the very friendly cooperative stuff + the whether - good for walking in the nature park and swimming in the sea.
Relais du Silence Cortijo Los Malenos Excellent 8.6 A fabulous find - and somewhere we will definitely go back to. Wonderful conversion of old buildings which retain character but have all mod cons. Lovely to have a lounge room with a log fire, sofas and open bar to relax in on a cold winter's night. Fantastic power shower to warm you up too. Amazing views, especially the stars at night. Tucked away but actually on the main road so easy to find and very easy to get to Agua Armaga, Rodalquilar and other places nearby. Huge gardens to wander, with well-thought out spaces to sit and relax.
Real Agua Amarga Las Villas Wonderful 9.1 Location Facilities Pool Views Daily cleaning Village
miKasa Excellent 8.9 THE GOOD: This was the most relaxing stay I’ve ever had, anywhere. Unforgettable. MiKasa is a rare combination – all the comforts of a luxury hotel, with the friendly atmosphere and personal touch of a small family-run inn. The delicious breakfasts alone were worth the trip. Every morning something new, cooked from fine Spanish ingredients and family recipes, and always a large selection of fresh fruit. The rooms are excellent. I had the Nassau suite, across the street from the main building. AC was quiet but effective, the free WiFi quite fast. A very comfy king-size bed, and I really appreciated the firm mattress. A jacuzzi and a roof terrace on the top floor are part of the suite. Everything tasteful and spotlessly clean. MiKasa’s two swimming pools are nestled in the beautiful hotel garden. And Agua Amarga’s beach is a few minutes’ walk away. Service at the hotel is fantastic. Even though hotel amenities were excellent, it was really the staff that made my stay so memorable. They are wonderful, multilingual and enormously helpful. Agua Amarga is in the Cabo de Gata – Níjar natural park, a remote area with spectacular landscapes, a bit like a subtropical Iceland or Scotland. Chatting with the people at MiKasa was a good way to learn what there is to see and do in the vicinity and in the wider region. For two short weeks MiKasa was really my home, from the first day to the last. Thank you all ! I’ll be back as soon as I can.
El Tio Kiko Excellent 8.6 The hosts are very friendly. The breakfast is fantastic. The ambiance and decoration of the hotel is very pleasant. The location is excellent with beautifuil views of the bay. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peacefull vacation in the Cabo de Gata National Park
Hotel las Calas Very good 8.4 Wide choice of food for breakfast (enjoyed the vanilla and caramel tea), in a lovely garden. Great access to beach. Helpful and attentive staff (although would be easier if you can speak some Spanish). Clean and comfortable room.
La Almendra y El Gitano Excellent 8.9 Beautiful. Well restored buildings and well tended gardens. LOVED the extremely comfortable large bed with the fan directly above it. Exceptional views from the large picture window in front of our fresh tap water (no chemicals) bedroom jacuzzi. Peace, quiet and chilled out vibe. A real treat, unobtrusive customer service and help yourself to kitchen facilities which was useful after buying gourmet treats. Spotlessly clean. Thank you for the extra effort giving us the suite of our choice. I highly recommend the room with the black jacuzzi. Many thanks
Cortijo La Joya de Cabo de Gata Excellent 8.8 The cottage was large, well appointed with a private outside area which was lovely to relax in. Views of the surrounding mountains from the pool. Wonderful stay.
Hotel Senderos Wonderful 9 We booked for 5 days and extended to 10 days as we couldn't find anywhere better (in price, location, design, and amenities) than this local gem. Agua Amarga is the best town to stay in Cabo de Gata, it's beautiful and quiet and has a beautiful beach and nearby amazing coves, horseback riding, and terrain to explore. The hotel is lovely, new, modern, very clean, safe, and pretty. Carlos and Orelia are so friendly and helpful, and go the extra distance to make your stay great. Our room was spacious and full of light, had a large private patio with chaise lounges and a great big umbrella, and nice big bathroom with luxurious shower. They give you nice bath products, bottled water, chocolate, etc upon arrival. (Typically accommodation in Spain does not do this!) The included breakfast is around the pool which is in a lovely atrium-like room and they bring fresh baked croissants and breads from the family's market, make fresh squeezed orange juice and made to order coffees, and also offer fruit, yogurt, cold cuts, and more. There is a public parking lot right outside the hotel that is free and very convenient as well as street parking. We enjoyed our stay so much, we felt absolutely at home and comfortable, will definitely return! Thank you Hotel Senderos!
