What is it in Cádiz that makes history come to life?

Oldest city on Western Europe, 3000+ years old, it is history! From Phoenicians to Romans, Moriscos to Columbus and the Golden Age in Spain you can see ancient ruins, grand old houses, old city walls, cobbled streets, and its location means you are never far from the sea which makes walking around it a very pleasant experience.

What guests are saying about Cádiz

" Despite being next to the main street in Cadiz, there was little noise. The hotel is about a 25 min walk to the old town and bus and train station so a bit far out. It is only a 3 minute walk from the beach though. Wifi good, breakfast excellent " More

Hotel Boutique Convento Cádiz

" Great location just a few minutes walk from the old town of Cadiz with its lovely restaurants and bars. Stunning courtyard with bar service and food Beautiful room - spacious, clean and comfortable. Advice on parking from previous review is spot on - park in the train station, walk away from the station and the hotel is a 2 minute walk across the street (just look for the white building with a bell tower that resembles a church !) Hotel Monte Puertatierra

" Having been to Cadiz previously, we decided to use this hotel this time as it was perfectly located for the beach and old town. We requested a kettle for the room which was there and also car parking. Although the car park is tight it is no major issue as we left it there and walked everywhere. Our room was almost over the front entrance but with the patio doors closed there was no noise. Highly recommended. " More

Hotel Argantonio

" In an ideal location to get to know the old town of Cadiz. Within walking distance of the town beach and close to the bus stop for the short ride to the larger beaches. The hotel is full of character and the room- view aside - as lovely. The bathroom was huge with a spacious and powerful shower. Breakfast was taken in a pleasant room with a reasonable choice for a "continental" breakfast. " More

Senator Cádiz Spa Hotel

" Great position near the waterfront of Cadiz, near to most of the cultural sights and restaurants. Close to great shopping streets. The hotel had a wonderful underground thermal spa with swimming pools and whirlpools, all very relaxing. A very good café/brasserie for simple meals and snacks. Excellent restaurant. Recommended.
