Beautiful house and garden! The apartment is spacious and clean, the location is perfect, and the host is very reachable and easy to communicate with. It was very helpful to have the parking space nearby. I wish we had more time to spend here!

Old area of Combarro is beautifully preserved.
Old area of Combarro is beautifully preserved. Having a car it is a great base for exploring and enjoying the gorgeous beaches specially further west along the coast.
I was however looking forward to a change of restaurants after a week in Combarro as the emphasis is understandably on fish.
Restaurant O Bocoi was good and Taberna Leucoina was great tho pricer.
Old town is very compact but with steps, the main town is easy to navigate.

There are 2 streets intended for tourists.
There are 2 streets intended for tourists. You can walk those slowly. After that, you can walk for exercise and then walk every possible town street slowly within 2 hours. So, it's tiny, but this mariner village is exquisite, and an absolute Must-see. The architecture is unique to the area, the artesanal shops are fun and plentiful (a half dozen or so), and there is little better than to sit and relax and enjoy chiperones, pimientos de Padrón, etc., on any terrace overlooking the river. This town is beautiful day and night. There are plenty of places to eat well.
If you come for the beaches, beware.
They are extremely small, and offer no parasols or lounge chairs for rent. In fact, the beaches are too small for all that stuff. And beware of the tide cycle. The tides cycle out of the river gulf, or inlet, so that instead of a hot day swimming, you may enjoy only a curious time walking 🚶 the bed and seeing some boats dry docked. You'll have to time your swimming with the tide cycle, which changes about 4 times every 24 hours, so be aware of that. And, it is not exactly for swimming, but more for wading and cooling off in. It is perfect if you're traveling with small kids or the elderly that do not enjoy depth or waves. Here the water is for wading, sitting and cooling in. Very calm and tranquil.
Also, be aware that Google maps is NOT up to date. For example, it shows the restaurant, "Porta do Mar Asador" as open with great reviews when, in fact, the place closed permanently in 2020, so change your plan. Alternatives are abundant, so, no worries.

A wonderful place to stay.
A wonderful place to stay. It is close to the coast and lots of restaurants around. The place is very private and the interior design is modern and very comfortable. Will come back again if the opportunity comes.

Great old town on the river.
Great old town on the river. Lovely old buildings and pedestrian only paths to just wander around. Plenty of eating places on the river. On the Camino Espiritual so good place to stay if you are walking that route as we were. Would like to have stayed longer.
Mari was very attentive and met us promptly with the key. The apartment is amazing with everything we needed and a great location in Combarro with a sea view and right in the old town. We went to Mari’s restaurant ( Restorante O Peirao) and we had an incredible evening and didn’t want to leave! We ate the seafood paella (Arroz Marisco) and it was unbelievably good!! The service was great too and we met Mari’s husband who took care of us at the table. I would highly recommend this apartment when you visit Combarro.
Really friendly warm welcome from host family (without being in any way intrusive). We picked amazing tomato, peppers and lemons from the garden, and fresh roast chestnuts and home made wine were brought to our door. There was a well equipped kitchen, a near by super market and several nice harbour restaurants in Combarro. Easy bike or car trip in to Pontevedra.
Etc etc super clean, comfortable, cozy, lots of outside space with sun and shade, easy parking....
The cafe/reception is old but its a family run bizz. i had a room with double bed, nice small bathroom and view on the port. its an old bldg but the room was clean. Breakfast is included (coffee and huge croissant) and served by the grandma :). Well worth the 25euro per night and Combarro is a beautiful town with nice places to have a meal. Good option for pelerins since the albergue is not open .
Located on the Camino, central to the historic area of Combarro, quiet, cozy, clean, well thought out layout with all the amenities a traveler could want, kitchen that equipped us to make a simple meal, bath with a tub and a washing machine. Super cute place with fabulous views from the small balcony and living area windows. Grocery store within walking distance.
This small apartment is part of a traditional house in the centre of the old town of Combarro. I stayed one night whilst walking the Camino. It has everything you need in a modern apartment and holds onto its older charm. Lovely little garden area for a drink in the evening and a communal bbq and dining area.
Probably the most beautiful of all our accommodations in the Camino. Gorgeous patio, yard. The woodwork and stone inside was stunning. Views of the water from the bedroom windows. Location in Combarro perfect. Water, restaurants, shops all right there! Old stone buildings and walkways. Highly recommend.
This albergue is luxury. It looks exactly like a hotel. Towels and linen are provided. There are warm covers as well. It's very clean and has got a kitchen. The lady at the reception spoke 4 languages and was so helpful. There is a garden and it was beautiful.
We loved our stay in Combarro. Mari's place was in the perfect location with great views. The apartment was clean and comfortable and Mari was a great host. We also enjoyed dinner at her family's restaurant that evening. We'll be back!
The apartment is perfectly located right next to Combarro's charming old town. It's spacious, bright, comfortable, and well distributed, great for a couple or a small family. Our host was super helpful and friendly. Recommended!
The hotel is quite older, but everything is in great shape and very clean. If you get an ocean view you will not be disappointed, it is breath taking. If you are walking Camino, the hotel is just on the way, next to the trail.
Exceptionally clean, cool, spacious and very well equipped. Close to water, beautiful views of ria, and within easy reach of restaurants and bars in the lovely town of Combarro. Private, secure parking.
The owner was very kind and helpful. The hotel is clean and comfortable and has a nice rooftop terrace. There's a restaurant for breakfast and coffee for 8am. Good stop for Pilgrims walking the Camino.
The staff could not be more lovely, a warm welcome at all times, delicious breakfast, although you are out of the town and on a road the hotel makes the most of its facilities.
It’s very good value.
