Beautiful setting surrounded by mountains. The city is full of history and was the capital of the kingdom of Navarre up until 1512. The city walls have survived on three sides and the fortress to the south of the city is one of the most impressive 16th century fortifications in Europe. The cathedral is also lovely. The old city is not very extensive and is easy to explore on foot but the streets are narrow and it would be challenging with a car although the hotel did have its own car park. We had two days in Pamplona and would have liked to stay for a third as we had to leave before we had seen all that we wanted to see.

It’s a small city.
It’s a small city. We stayed one day and saw the main points. I recommend visiting the cathedral. They charge a fee but you can visit the church, the museum and the atrium.
We also walked around the city walls . It was interesting.
Eat at cafe Iruña, from 1888.We had a great meal.

Bustling, friendly city, peppered with excellent restaurants, tapas bars and cafes. Pretty streets lined with old buildings. Gorgeous central plaza, beautiful parks and ancient churches. Wonderful towns and countryside within an hour or twos drive from Pamplona - it's a great hub from which to explore Navarra and neighbouring provinces.

Pamplona was a bit of a surprise, I spent two nights here whilst walking the Camino. I found a great shopping strip and boutique clothes stores right in the heart of the city. The Parque de la Taconera were beautiful gardens, roaming ducks lyre birds and deer.
The citadel forte wall surrounding the city was so lovely to wander around to explore with amazing views of surrounding region and landscape.
There was so much life happening, everyone out in the old city, eating and socialising. Great tapas bars and dinning!

Do not miss even if out of 'Running of the bulls' season.
Do not miss even if out of 'Running of the bulls' season. Great food, people and places to visit. You dont need a vehicle or taxi to get around. Attractions are cheaper compared to Barcelona or major cities. Only word of caution is food. Restaurants close at around 1430 Hrs and do not open for dinner till 2130 Hrs unlike Barcelona where its not a problem. Tapas are available throughout the day.
Lovely well-appointed room with very comfortable beds and every facility you need, including a Nespresso machine and mini-bar ... and proper glasses (not the plastic or cardboard throw-away types like in some other hotel chains). Well located - 20 minutes walk to old town; there are also many restaurants and bars nearby, including the hotel's own café/bar. Convenient underground parking at the hotel. Didn't have breakfast there this time but last time, in 2022, the breakfast was superb.
The hotel was in an amazing location! The staff were so helpful in recommending places to go, and when they found out I was an English teacher and was a fan of Ernest Hemingway, they eagerly offered to take us up to the room where he stayed when he visited in the 1950s and 60s. My Partner said it was one of the best hotel experiences he has ever had. Pamplona has been one of our favorite stops this trip and our stay at the hotel was a huge part of it!
We are two cyclists on a ride from Cadiz to San Sebastian. Our needs are simple we seek a clean bed and a hot shower – the hotel provided both
Reception was welcoming and helpful – the recommendations for local village restaurants were outstanding
The Hotel is located in the new part of town and some way away from the traditional old town - the selection of the location was by design and we were very much inside modern urban Spain
Nice modern and small hotel in the commercial area of Pamplona. Easy to get to in a car and approximately 25 minutes’ walk through a nice park and then some wide streets on commercial avenues to get to the old town. Hotel itself was small and very simple with not many facilities (just communal coffee etc facilities) but was perfect for us for an overnight stay. Staff very helpful.
The bathroom was so clean, I almost walked through the shower door. There was no soap scum or dirt anywhere. The apartment has lots of natural light, and had everything i needed. The location was in the middle of old town, but it was amazingly quiet. If I had known how much I would like this place, i would have planned an extra night.
Beautiful, clean, and chic hotel…the staff was so nice, beds super comfortable, and the shower and tub were amazing after making it through the first part of the camino. we also had a beautiful view out our window. location is perfect, right between the park and the old town, close to Corte Ingles, and basically on the Camino.
Despite the fact, that the hotel is not located in the very center, it is quite close, you can get to the Old town by foot in approx 20-30 minutes or by bus. Anything you might need located nearby - minimarket, restaurants, fitness centre. The hotel itself is very tidy and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
Pamplona Catedral Hotel is very centrally located, minutes away from the Calle Estafeta. Our room was very comfortable and met our expectations for our one night stay. We absolutely enjoyed our breakfast! We look forward to coming back in our next trip to Pamplona.
The location was great! Close to everything in the old town square. The place was clean and provided all needs. They had a person on staff to welcome us and answer questions. They also held our luggage when we checked out before we had to leave for train.
Accommodation was in a great location, close to the bus station and the old town, bars/restaurants and the park/gardens. Also right on the Camino path. Good breakfast and very good value for money. Staff helpful and friendly.
Nice modern hotel. Room was very clean with great shower. Had underground parking for our motorbike.
Short walk (15 min) into pamplona old town through a quiet residential area.
If in pamplona would stay here again.
Very clean, comfortable, and quiet room. Location is excellent, walking distance to all the old town places. We also walked from the bus station and to the train station. Wifi and climate control were excellent.
Very friendly staff.
Nice hotel with comfortabel rooms and beds and a super breakfast.
Well located in the old city on a quiet location and walking distance to the city center.
The staff was really and welcoming. The hotel was clean and well located in the city center.
The equipment and space for working was really appreciated.
