San Sebastian is a famous beach resort in the north of Spain with picturesque coastline, vibrant nightlife and amazing Basque gastronomy.
Playa de la Concha is one of the world’s most popular city beaches, ideal for watersports lovers. Rent a surfboard on Zurriola beach or just relax on a cosy lounge chair under your umbrella.
Established as the culinary capital of Spain, San Sebastian features a variety of bars and restaurants serving delicious pintxos (Basque-style tapas), fresh seafood and fine wine. According to Spanish tradition, you should have one tapa and a wine in one bar, then move on to the next bar.
The tree-covered hill standing just across the gulf is called Urgull and offers spectacular views over the bay and city. Situated at the bottom of it, Parte Vieja is the old part of the town where you can mix with the locals and visit some of the city’s most interesting historical attractions.
San Sebastian Airport is located 20 km east, so it's a short journey into the city itself. Booking.com offers a choice of accommodation ranging from luxury hotels to guest houses, apartments and budget hostels.
“Very nice and beautiful hotel. I just loved the big living-room/library on the ground floor!”
“Great location, super friendly owners, very clean, comfortable bed, fast internet. Basic but did everything excellently.”
“Excellent location and friendly staff”
“Hotel is in an upmarket neighbourhood - quiet and a short walk along the waterside to the city center. Reception was fantastic - very helpful. We hadn't reserved a car park and unfortunately when we arrived their carpark was full - reception gave us directions to a nearby street with plenty of parking, also provided us with a map of the city and price for parking. Room was great, no complaints. Breakfast was fantastic.”
“Hotels position only 15 mins walk from town centre and 25mins from old quarter”
“It was very close to the beach, although you will have to walk for 15 min to reach the lively areas. Decent, bright and clean rooms. Good isolation towards to the street as well as the other rooms.”
“good price, clean comfy rooms.”
“view from the room onto the city”
“That was by far one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on! The pillows were equally amazing! The room was great! Spacious, simple and relaxing. The staff are very friendly and had great advice. Walking distance to beaches, restaurants, bars and shopping. I will definitely come back here on my next trip to San Sebastian. Book well in advance because this place fills up. And now I know why!”
“The rooms are lagre. Bathrooms are clean. The stuff is friendly. The location is very good.”
“This apartment was fabulous. Very modern and spacious, in a great location, 200m from the beach. Teresa welcomed us, and was incredibly accommodating and helpful. Good value for money. Had an issue with the internet and this was fixed immediately with one phone call, which is exactly the kind of service which makes places like this standout.”
“Well designed; a feast for the eyes and senses.”
“Good location, nice staff. Breakfast was ...well, "continental" but OK to us. And cheap:) If you don't need spas and night clubs at your hotel, but want just a comfortable accommodation, this is for you. Our room was excellent to its price.”
“Modern hotel, good for business traveller. Parking is free. Walking distance into the old town is about 20 mins so manageable.”
“The location is perfect, right near Playa de La Concha in the Casco Viejo. The owner is helpful, friendly and does a very good job. The rooms are small but comfortable. The mini fridge, wifi and TV were all useful ammenities. Our room had a porch overlooking the Puerto Kalea. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the Casco Viejo.”
“Close but not too close to the old town and playa la concha”
“Excelent location! Just 2 blocks from the Best part. Of playa de la Concha. Good beds. Staff very helpfull and Nice.”
