Comfort, location and an excellent stop over on the way to Santander for the ferry. Excellent choice of food and drink. Fantastic spacious bedroom with enormous bed and lovely sitting area. Small balcony facing the vineyards. Very relaxing after a long drive.

This is an authentic stay! We enjoyed everything. The rooms and the hotel were immaculate. I read in reviews about the slight smell in the bathroom, however we only experienced it when opening the shower door and even then it was just slight and it’s understandable for such property. The beds were comfy. The breakfast had all the essentials, not a very wide variety but it had the charcuterie, cheese selection, eggs etc. There is a restaurant which serves dinner, although we went to the hotel next door as it had a wine shop, but the prices and the selection are great. It was very busy in the evening. There isn’t much around but it is perfect for a relaxing stay, walking around and exploring some bodegas.

Lurdes was the perfect hostess, kind, warm, welcoming. She is also a great cook! Nothing was too much trouble. The Loft is delightful. Very comfortable, warm and cosy, and very well equipped. Even Bob Dylan on the CD Player!

Beautiful historical building full of charm with wonderful internal and external architecture. The rooms were restored in keeping with medieval style property. Wonderful wine cellar. Perfect location for exploring Penaranda de Dureo. Dates back to I think circa 11th century. Charming hostess Mamen. Made us very welcome.
