We felt in love with this place! The visit was during the winter season, the place looked like from fairytale. The cozy environtment, the warm fireplace inside made our stay even more enjoyable when it was pretty cold outside from -12 to -24.
The amazing thing here is surounding nature. You can observe the squirels eating nuts around 10-12 AM. Please bring some nuts for them and you will see great view 😉
The frozen lake is good location to walk on and to see northen lights. You could also walk on the hill to see them if the lake is not frozen (instructions are left on the guestbook). There are plenty of equipment left for you to use like snowshoes, sleds for winter hikes!
Also, make sure that your car starts up properly during cold season. The good thing that there is an EU plug near the parking area for charging your accumulator in case you will have any problems. This place is 60km away from Rovaniemi, so only way to stay here if you have a car.
Overall, the atmosphere made our stay very enjoyable. We had everthing we needed during our stay!
