“First class service from friendly staff. Room was clean and very comfortable. Resturant was excellent for both food and service. I stay in at least 30 different hotels globally per year and this hotel is one of the best.”
“Had a pool, great for the family. We ate breakfast, plenty of choice and good value. Room used for overnight stop beds comfy and bathroom great, had bath with shower over it.”
“We travelled to Autun by train from Paris and stayed for 4 nights. We were able to walk to our hotel from the train and to all of the sights, including the Croix de Liberation. We did not have a vehicle for the entire stay. We were especially close to the shops and cafes in the area. We were also quite close to the grocery store. The hotel and restaurant staff were very friendly and most accommodating. As the only anglophone in my French Canadian family, I would say that it is necessary to have at least a working knowledge of the French language to spend any length of time in Autun. However, most people are quite happy to try out their English and so you can get by. The hotel has an excellent restaurant, serving authentic and classic French cuisine. It is highly recommended. The room was large by European standards. The wi-fi was excellent and fast. We especially enjoyed the little cafe "So Crepes". The couple who run this cafe are wonderful and went out of their way to make us feel at home. This is truly a wonderful town, filled with historic and important relics and is worth the visit.”
“The quiet location on the edge of town and close to the roman temple of Janus and gate. The owner was charming and very welcoming.”
“It was very quiet, clean and in a beautiful location. We had an exceptional dinner at the restaurant looking out over the gardens. The room was spacious (for France) and filled with light. We looked out through ivy- surrounded windows to the old Roman walls and the surrounding hills.”
“First coked brkfast in France. Crepes delicious. Provided picnic facilities for own food. Robot floor polisher. ”
