Hotel Mignon Good 7.6 fantastic , fabulous location clean staff were excellent & very helpful.
Avignon Grand Hotel Very good 8.1 Room 250 2nd floor. Location was great, just outside city walls and a pleasant walk into town. We had a superior room ie Suite , which meant a sitting room with settee and an armchair, tables and plenty of hanging and shelving space. Bedroom was good with a TV and separate sliding door into bathroom shower and toilet area. Also accessable through the sitting room. Price of the room for 4 nights with booking.com was at least a third to a quarter of the price on the foyer entrance wall. Our room was in a corner opposite the lift which meant we had no room next door noises!
Hotel Restaurant la Ferme Very good 8 A short drive from Avignon, la Ferme is ideal for touring Avignon and then at the end of a long day of sightseeing, relaxing with a glass of wine, wonderful food and friends under the huge sycamore tree in their outdoor dining space. The owners are the friendliest we met in France. I'm sorry we had to leave, but we plan to return. I highly recommend this hotel.
Hôtel du Palais des Papes Good 7.9 Absolutely charmed with the town, and staying in the hotel was a part of it. Very friendly personnel, cozy rooms with history. Excellent restaurant at the hotel. Strategic location right in the centre of Avignon, close to the Popes´ Palace. WiFi worked pretty well. Pretty reasonable price. Will be sure to come again!
Bristol Very good 8 We enjoyed our stay at the Bristol so much!! A lot more than expected!! A short walk to restaurants & castle of the popes!! The staff was great & people were soo friendly!!
La Mirande Excellent 8.9 La Mirande is an oasis of calm in the centre of bustling Avignon. Our rooms were comfortable and elegant and overlooked the beautiful garden and the Palais des Papes beyond the garden wall. The staff at La Mirande are friendly and welcoming while being thoroughly professional at all times. Jean-Claude Aubertin's menus and M. Jacques' wine recommendations are so delicious that we rarely ate elsewhere.
Le Limas Wonderful 9.2 The place was immaculate. Marion our hostess was very pleasant and really catering to our needs. The rooms were clean on arrival and kept clean daily. The breakfast was very nice. The location is also excellent. It is within walking distance to all parts of Avignon.
Pop' Hostel Very good 8.2 The staff was Friendly and helpful. Wifi worked well. The location was superb, right in the middle of the old city walls and easily accessed from train station, just walk straight down the main road. The facilities were very clean and comfortable.
Hotel d'Europe Wonderful 9 I can't say enough good things about this hotel. The staff was super friendly & helpful. The room we had was gorgeous with a HUGE bathroom!!!! It had a separate stand up shower AND a huge bath, two sinks & a separate water closet. Our jaws literally dropped @ our first sight of the bathroom!!! I can't go on enough about how much we loved our room, the staff & our entire experience!!! The hotel has an old world feel but with some modern decor touches, which I loved!!! I think they might have recently re-done the bar/lounge area, judging from some older photos of it that I saw on Trip Advisor. I enjoyed sitting at the bar & grabbing a quick glass of wine before I had to get ready to go out.... You can sit outside in the courtyard & eat on either the bar side, or the more formal restaurant side. We ate lunch on the bar side & the food was excellent!! I also love the black & white striped chair cushions, which, again judging from photos I saw on Trip Advisor, may be new, also. The square right outside the hotel has several great restaurants at which to eat outside & enjoy the weather etc... & it has a nice open feel that you might not get with other areas in Avignon. The hotel is right by the city wall, which makes it convenient & easy to get to from the train station or driving to or from Avignon. Although Hotel D'Europe is not in the city center, it is a very short walk to the Palais du Papes & Pont D'Avignon etc...We were in Avignon for a wedding at La MIRANDE, which is also a lovely property that I was initially supposed to stay at, so I was curious to compare the two. I went into one of our friend's rooms over there and I have to say I loved our room @ Hotel D'Europe so much more!!! Our room had HUGE windows, very high ceilings & a very neutral/white color palette, which I loved!!!
Camping du Pont d'Avignon Very good 8 We loved the adventure of staying at this cool and convenient campground. The bungalows were very comfortable and well supplied.
