very small town that doesn't appear to have any kind of...
very small town that doesn't appear to have any kind of local shop BUT it is a great base for a relaxing trip away from it all. If you plan to see the countryside and do some walking it is perfect. Its also easy to drive to Rouen and the various Normandy tourist attractions from Connelles.

The owner manageress is very friendly and speaks perfect English. nothing is too much trouble for her, the dining room is pretty and overlooks the water and the food is delicious. This hotel is quite a find. It takes about 40 minutes to drive to Giverny and this makes a wonderful day out.

This is everything a hotel should be - run by people who care about their hotel and their guests and make sure everything runs smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble from special dinner requests to helpful directions to supermarkets. The beds were super comfy and if we had known they take pets we would have taken ours. It's quiet and charming but there is no elevator so beware if you struggle with stairs. We left too early for breakfast, but dinner at the restaurant was excellent.
