It's really pleasant to live in the city.
It's really pleasant to live in the city. Rennes is not like Paris but there is everything you need to live and enjoy yourself. The center of the city is full of fun with beautiful old buildings and churches. You can also find modern facilities for your convenience. I loved the beautiful city of Rennes.

Only stayed 1 day - could perhaps have added a day. Rennes is very car un-friendly! Lots of cycle lanes, some quite narrow streets; lots of one-way streets that lead nowhere 9so you enter the one=way system and after a couple of minutes you end up back where you started - and there are no optional turns out of this system!
That said, once parked and on foot, very pleasant indeed.. We also had very nice weather - late-mid September.
Good restaurants - we ate at a creperie for lunch which was good and at an unpreposing restaurant for dinner which was very good,

The city had beautiful screet scape, shops and cafes and an amazing park all within walking distance. The local were friendly and prices generally in eating venues was reasonable. Rennes having a metro is an excellent asset allowing a lot of walking knowing you can double back by train if you plan your exploration direction to suit the metro stops. The staff at the metro station offered very helpful assistance without prompting helping to understand the ticketing system and ticket purchase process.

Vibrant city with many historical landmarks to explore within a compact area which is easily accessible on foot. Some lovely medieval buildings mixed in with more modern buildings.
A variety of shops and restaurants of different types to try.

The old town is lovely, but for the oldies a bit tricky with the cobbles. The restaurants seem to be all in the centre - other eateries are pancakes, pizzas, and burgers - not exciting. It is a city for walkers - I am 94 and walking only short distances. My partner is a walker, so no problem. The people are extremely friendly, and it is a young city.
We stayed here for New Year and found it an excellent location for Rennes City Centre and all its attractions. The self catering facility was superb and extremely well equipped - you do not need to bring anything extra with you. The shower was excellent with plenty of hot water and the bed very comfortable. We were lucky enough to find a car parking space right outside the hotel for no charge. Thoroughly recommended and will re-visit.
Location excellent.Hotel spotlessly clean.Breakfast quite good in the main.Old town and other attractions in easy walking distance.Parking not a problem at all and was concerned somewhat about this before hand. Its free outside after 7.00pm and untill 9.00am following morning and all day Sundays.Other than that we put in local multi storey if we we were not travelling far that particular day.
The atmosphere was very nice and cozy, with interesting decor. The breakfast was wonderful, with all kinds of local cakes and treats, and coffee and food service were available until quite late in the evening. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Our son stayed with us unexpectedly, and the hotel was able to give us a suite that included a children's room with a bunk bed.
Given the options in this small French town, this certainly stands out as one of the best hotel accommodations in the area. From the cute lobby bar to the free spa hour for hotel guests, it is perfect for the traveler on business. Looking for a little bit of r&r after a day's work. I would highly recommend this location to anyone returning to or staying for the first time at Rennes.
Loved the location as we were traveling by train, and it was an easy walk to the gare. Unfortunately, we were only there one night and couldn't stay for breakfast. The breakfast room looked inviting
Loved our room, which was small but clean, cute, and comfortable,
Easy walk to restaurants and to other sites. If we return. we would certainly stay here.
Absolutely beautiful house with warm, wonderful host Marie. Decor was gorgeous, both luxurious and personal. Great beds, linen bedding, nice products in the bathrooms. Marie served great breakfast and was extremely thoughtful about making restaurant recommendations both in Rennes and in nearby towns. Would love to stay here again and again and again.
Excellent location in relation to the train station and the attractions of the medieval centre of Rennes. The close proximity of the Carrefour was handy. The hotel staff were excellent: welcoming, helpful, and very patient with our beginner French. The small garden courtyard was a nice retreat area for cheese and wine, or to read. Great breakfast!
Great location for visiting all Rennes sights. We were allocated a very spacious room which had kettle and coffee maker and mini bar with complimentary soft drinks. The hotel wasn’t busy; didn’t appear to be many other guests. There was a independent student’s bar below the hotel open until 1am which was noisy.
Narrow entrance in an old house reconverted in small apartments, it's over a cozy and great value restaurant, we didn't have noise at night.
The little balcony over the roofs of Rennes and a superb shower made the difference
The room was amazing, the welcome was even better.
The service and the kindness of the people at the reception were just fantastic.
If there's ONE hotel you need to stay at in Rennes, let it be this one.
Spacious rooms. Good price-quality ratio for a hotel situated at a 20-30 minute walk distance of the center of Rennes. Underground parking spots available for 6€ a day. Decent breakfast for 8€ per person.
Excellent quiet hotel with a decent breakfast tailored to international standards, not just the cheap bread & jam you get elsewhere in France. Super friendly staff.
clean bright hotel with friendly helpful staff good breakfast. close to Rennes stadium and also the massive LeClerc where there is also a Flunch (decent fast food)
The hotel is situated door-to-door to the train station of Rennes. It is absolutely comfortable if you travel by train and need to stay overnight in Rennes.
I loved how staffs were welcoming&helping me
Way much better service comparing to Paris Ibis for sure
I really rather would choose Ibis Rennes than Paris
The Union of rooms 201 and 202.for the 4 of us built my best hotel experience ever with my two little ones..it's hard to express how simply good it was.
