Alive Hotel De Quebec Good 7.6 We arrived a liitle after check in time but there was no problem, they were more than happy to receive us. We were offered an upgrade to a larger room with a small balcony at no extra charge. the room was clean and spacious, linen clean and fresh, the bathroom very clean with complimentary toiletries. Car parking is directly behind the Hotel, easy to find. The location is within 10 min walking to the old historical part of town and local market for breakfast on the Sunday morning. The owners were very helpful with directions and advice to local attractions. I highly recommend this Hotel to all who are after a good clean friendly establishment within walking distance to all the good things to see in Rouen. Thanks for a great stay!
Hôtel Céline (Hôtel de la Gare) Good 7.4 The hosts where lovely and very welcoming, the room facilities where ideal for the whole family. Will stay again next year.
Les Initiés Good 7.9 Small friendly hotel in a perfect central location. Our room had a nice view of the Palace of Justice just opposite. Very clean and comfortable. Good bar/restaurant downstairs. Enjoyed our relaxing stay at Hotel Les Inities.
D-House Rouen Very good 8.2 In a week long trip of staying in 6 different accommodations, this was hands down the best for so many different reasons. Firstly, the lovely proprietors Dominique and Franck were so very helpful, and Franck in particular went beyond what could have been expected of his role in making us feel welcome, special and pampered. He carried our very heavy suitcase up a couple of flights of stairs (despite having a bad back, bless him!), and spent much time describing the places of interest and the best eateries etc. We were charmed by the little touches such as the preparation of our bedroom by removing the heavy bedcover and placing artisanal treats of nugget on pretty little trays in the room. When I mentioned that I would use my own towel to dry my hair to avoid getting hair colour (dyed bright red) on their towels, Franck found a dark coloured towel for me to use so that I would not have to place my own wet towel into my luggage. The suite's accommodation itself is exquisite; the rooms are comprised of a large bedroom, bathroom and dining area. The décor is eclectic and reflects the owners tastes for beautiful objets d'art and furniture from around the world. It is all authentic and original, and a treat for the senses. The bathroom is gorgeous, beautifully appointed and I enjoyed a bubble bath in the roll top bath whilst looking at the astounding sight of the nearby illuminated, recently renovated church. Breakfast was delicious; all high quality produce including delicious traditional breads and pastries (Franck is a trained Patissier so he knows his stuff!) The homemade fig jam was scrumptious. Coffee was served in individual silver coffee pots...all in all a very special occasion! This place is a must for those wanting something out of the ordinary, who feel like pampering themselves, and who want to be a stone's throw from the best that lovely Rouen has to offer.
