Valros is very quiet and pretty, an archetypal French village, but there is very little in terms of shops. We saw signs to a traiteur but failed to find it even though we had quite a walk round the village. It didn't matter, because we already had food for the stay, but I don't think you could depend on getting provisions. It made for a really pleasant evening walk and was very quiet as a place to stay.

Free parking in the hotel property, dog friendly, very clean and warm. And it was so nice to be able to eat a proper dinner in a lovely restaurant after so many hours driving! Food highly recommended. Very nice attention. It has a modern complete kitchen in the room (but we didn't use it)
