Cranbourne House Superb 9.2 When our holiday accommodation was cancelled on us at the last minute we were happy to find any room at all available, but this unfortunate event was a blessing in disguise as it lead us to the wonderful Cranbourne House! Our room adjoined the conservatory and felt very cosy, private and comfortable while offering a beautiful view of the English country garden from just near our door. The décor was gorgeous and the bed was huge and soft with fluffy, full pillows. I slept like a baby! A young and enthusiastic couple with an obvious love of all things British, our hosts were incredibly thoughtful and attentive without being "smothering". We discovered a mutual passion for Harry Potter and the English countryside and had some great conversations. They even left slices of fresh, home made Victoria sponge and butter cookies for us to enjoy in our room! For breakfast we enjoyed an array of home made treats beyond the usual bacon & eggs, including "drop scones" (pikelets) and smoked salmon. To top it all off, Bourton On The Water is a beautiful town and walking from our room to and from the sweet shops and restaurants in the village made for a perfect weekend away. I would most definitely stay here again and highly recommend Cranbourne House to all.
